Surah Al Hijr – Ayah 34 & 35

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Al-Hijr Ayat 34 & 35_*

*_Allah said: Then get out of here, for you are accursed,(34)_*

*_And verily the curse will be upon you until the Day of Judgement.(35)_*

(خدا نے) فرمایا یہاں سے نکل جا۔ تو مردود ہے.(34)

اور تجھ پر قیامت کے دن تک لعنت (برسے گی).(35)

Here Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la immediately gives a fitting reply for his(Iblis) arrogance and defiance of the command.‼️ *The shaitan is expelled out of Heaven as he no longer deserves to be there because of his arrogant nature as Heaven is a abode of Peace and a place for good and pious souls, so it is not fitting for such a evil of Allah Azzawajal’s creation to remain there*. This is a just reward for disobedience and rebellion. The word *رَجيمٌ Rajim* means *to be stoned or someone who is chased away*. _Iblis is a victim of vanity and pride, and for that very reason defied Allah Azzawajal’s command to prostrate himself before Adam (AS). False pride, baseless notions of glory, ill-founded illusions of greatness failed to confer any greatness upon him. They could only bring upon him disgrace and indignity. Because of this he will be deprived of good and mercy till the Doomsday, and on the Doomsday the judgment will be given and punishment will be awarded to him. Shaitan could blame none but himself for this sordid end._

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that the attitude of arrogance will ultimately lead to such a humiliating consequence.‼️ *Neither his knowledge of Allah Azzawajal nor his belief in HIS existence and attributes were of any benefit to Iblīs.* The same applies to anyone who receives a divine order and claims for himself a degree of discretion about whether to accept or refuse that order, or claims the right to refuse Allah’s ruling on any question whatsoever. *For this entails disbelief in spite of knowledge and certitude.* Iblīs was not at all lacking in either his knowledge of Allah Azzawajal or his certainty of HIS attributes. He was expelled from Heaven and deprived of Allah Azzawajal’s grace. He incurred Allah Azzawajal’s displeasure and was condemned to permanent humiliation.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la make us HIS humble slaves and save us from the disease of Kibr and kufr. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

JazaK Allâhu khair!
