اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
اَعُوْذُبِااللّٰہِ مِنَ الشَّیْطٰنِ الرَّجِيْم
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Al-Isra Ayah 46_*
*وَّجَعَلۡنَا عَلٰى قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ اَكِنَّةً اَنۡ يَّفۡقَهُوۡهُ وَفِىۡۤ اٰذَانِهِمۡ وَقۡرًا ؕ وَاِذَا ذَكَرۡتَ رَبَّكَ فِى الۡقُرۡاٰنِ وَحۡدَهٗ وَلَّوۡا عَلٰٓى اَدۡبَارِهِمۡ نُفُوۡرًا.(46)*
*_And We have placed covers on their hearts so that they will not understand it, and deafness in their ears; when you mention your Lord alone in the Qur’an, they turn their backs in aversion. (46)_*
اور ان کے دلوں پر پردہ ڈال دیتے ہیں کہ اسے سمجھ نہ سکیں اور ان کے کانوں میں ثقل پیدا کر دیتے ہیں۔ اور جب تم قرآن میں اپنے پروردگار یکتا کا ذکر کرتے ہو تو وہ بدک جاتے اور پیٹھ پھیر کر چل دیتے ہیں.(46)
The Ayah describes the effect of rejecting the call of Tawheed deliberately.‼️ The word *أَكِنَّةً means covering*, that is over their hearts Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la has placed a covering so that the light of truth doesn’t reach them which leads them to plunge further in depths of darkness from understanding the true Deen. The word *وَقرًا meaning deafness* that is their ears are clogged so that they cannot hear. In other words the effects of Evil become cumulative in shutting out Allah Azzawajal’s grace.
When the Messenger (SAWS) mentioned the name of Allah Almighty in the Qur’an, without mentioning the names of their gods, they turned back, and avoided him with an arrogant and defiant attitude. As Allah Azzawajal says in a Ayah in Surah Az-Zumar
*_“When Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion, but when those other than Him are mentioned, immediately they rejoice”(39:45)_*
*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that it is the desire to submit oneself to Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la that opens the gates to guidance and HIS Mercy.‼️The one who makes a deliberate choice of embracing this worldly life and its carnal pleasures by rejecting the Hereafter will be left to stray upon misguidance.
—To understand that there is only mention of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la Alone as a deity in the Qur’an and it rejects all intermediaries and other false deities which makes the disbelievers turn away from the Qur’an. Hence let’s increase our belief in Tawheed and our attachment to the Qur’an and save ourselves from the practices of shirk and Bidah.
