اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
اَعُوْذُبِااللّٰہِ مِنَ الشَّیْطٰنِ الرَّجِيْم
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Al-Isra Ayat 47 & 48_*
*نَحۡنُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَسۡتَمِعُوۡنَ بِهٖۤ اِذۡ يَسۡتَمِعُوۡنَ اِلَيۡكَ وَاِذۡ هُمۡ نَجۡوٰٓى اِذۡ يَقُوۡلُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ اِنۡ تَتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسۡحُوۡرًا.(47)*
*اُنْظُرۡ كَيۡفَ ضَرَبُوۡا لَكَ الۡاَمۡثَالَ فَضَلُّوۡا فَلَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ سَبِيۡلًا.(48)*
*_We know best what they are listening for when they listen to you, and what they say when they converse in private, when the wrongdoers say: [If you were to follow Muhammad] you would be following none but a man who is bewitched.(47)_*
*_See what they liken you to! Thus they have gone astray and cannot find a way.(48)_*
یہ لوگ جب تمہاری طرف کان لگاتے ہیں تو جس نیت سے یہ سنتے ہیں ہم اسے خوب جانتے ہیں اور جب یہ سرگوشیاں کرتے ہیں (یعنی) جب ظالم کہتے ہیں کہ تم ایک ایسے شخص کی پیروی کرتے ہو جس پر جادو کیا گیا ہے.(47)
دیکھو انہوں نے کس کس طرح کی تمہارے بارے میں باتیں بنائیں ہیں۔ سو یہ گمراہ ہو رہے ہیں اور رستہ نہیں پاسکتے.(48)
These Ayat points to the leaders of the infidels of Makkah, who if they ever try to listen to Qura’n, it is with the idea of opposing it.‼️ _Accordingly, they used to hold secret consultations among themselves, and when they used to see one of their friend being impressed by the dawah of the Prophet (Sallal Lahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), they used to say that he was following a person who has been charmed and bewitched by some magic, and because of that he was talking like a mad man._
The Quraysh disbelievers were not of one opinion. From time to time they made statements that were not only different but even mutually contradictory. At times they alleged that the Prophet (peace be on him) was himself a magician. On other occasions, they claimed that he was under the spell of someone else’s magic. They also variously labeled him a poet and a lunatic.”
As Allah Azzawajal says in Surah Al-Qalam
*_And verily, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes (through hatred) when they hear the Reminder (the Qur’ân), and they say: “Verily, he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is a madman!”(68:51)_*
*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that the value of the Quran is high, which gives lessons to those who open their hearts to receive it.‼️ *However, there are those who only listen to the recitation of the Quran but they do not want to believe in what is conveyed in it.* _That is exactly what happened to the polytheists of Makkah, even though they understood Arabic, unfortunately their hearts did not accept what was conveyed in it._
—To understand that this type of mentality exists in every era and almost every time. There will be disbelievers who will read the Qur’an not to get guidance from but rather find a fault from it and spread the misconceptions so that the very purpose of Tawheed doesn’t get propagated and their false belief of superstition and practices get a boost.
