اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
اَعُوْذُبِااللّٰہِ مِنَ الشَّیْطٰنِ الرَّجِيْم
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Al-Hijr Ayah 29_*
*فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ.(29)*
*_”So, when I fashioned him (human being) and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down to him prostrating”(29)._*
جب اس کو (صورت انسانیہ میں) درست کر لوں اور اس میں اپنی (بےبہا چیز یعنی) روح پھونک دوں تو اس کے آگے سجدے میں گر پڑنا.(29)
_Here, in this Ayah, the emphasis is on three points;_
*1)* _The breathing of Allah’s Spirit into man; the faculty of *God-like knowledge and Will,* which if rightly used, would give man superiority over other creatures._
*2)* _The origin of evil in *arrogance and jealousy on the part of Shaitaan,* who saw only the lower side of man (his clay) and failed to see the higher side, which is the *faculty brought in by the spirit of Allah.*_
*3)* _That this *evil only touches those who yield to it,* and has no power over Allah’s sincere servants, who are purified by HIS Grace._
*_Act for the Day is_* : _To understand that, it is this Divine reflection on the human body which has raised him to the position of the Vicegerent of Allah Azzawajal and made him that worthy being before whom angels and every earthly thing should bow down, (because Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la breathed into him HIS Spirit)._
—To understand a very important reality which has been narrated concerning the creation of man, and that is man’s existence is not merely material or of matter alone, but it is a compound of matter and spirit.‼️ *This spirit is a gossamer, intangible thing, which has the attributes of knowledge, intelligence, speech and distinguishing between good and evil, and because of this very characteristic man has been declared as the best of all creatures.* _In other words, this is the internal man who sees, hears, speaks and understands. Eyes, ears, tongue, and brain are mere instruments and means or agents, and so long as man does not realize this reality about himself, he cannot get to the objective of his existence._ Materialists who consider man to be a mere bundle of flesh and skin degrade man from his high position, who then becomes a mere economic animal.
*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability to ponder and reflect the very purpose of our creation and gain HIS pleasure by always doing good. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*
