Surah Al Isra – Ayah 38

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Al-Isra Ayah 38_*

*كُلُّ ذٰ لِكَ كَانَ سَيِّئُهٗ عِنۡدَ رَبِّكَ مَكۡرُوۡهًا.(38)*

*_The evil of all that is hateful to your Lord.(38)_*

ان سب (عادتوں) کی برائی تیرے پروردگار کے نزدیک بہت ناپسند ہے.(38)

Every forbidden thing which has been mentioned in the previous Ayat are evil and therefore is disapproved of by Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la.‼️ To summarise the commandments are:
1) Do not set up with Allah ﷻ any other god.

2) And be dutiful to your parents. Do not say to them the word “uff”.Do not scold them. Speak to them a noble word. Humble yourself towards them both and pray “My Lord! have mercy on them both.
3) Give to the near of kin their due. And give to the poor. And to the traveler.
4) Do not be wasteful.
5) Speak a simple word if you cannot help.
6) Do not make your hands shackled. Do not extend help too much until you are tired or exhausted.
7) Do not kill your children.
8) Do not come close to adultery.
9) Do not kill any soul unjustly.
10) Do not approach (eat) the property of orphans.
11) Fulfill the promise.
12) Give full balance and Weigh with justice.
13) Do not follow that of which you have no knowledge.
14) Do not walk on the earth in arrogance.

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that all these things are haram or reprehensible, therefore, it has been called *makruh ‘مَكروهًا* in a general sense.

—To understand the purpose of mentioning all these prohibitions are to stay away from them as Allah Azzawajal doesn’t approve of them. If a believer obeys these commands and stays away from these sinful things he will get closer to Allah Azzawajal and will elevate his ranks with HIM.

The consequences of breaking Allah’s laws have not been stated here. The Hadith does it. For example, a hadith in Bayhaqi as well as in several other collections says,

_“Indecency never appeared in a people, to the extent that they did it openly, but they were visited by plague and diseases unknown to their forefathers. They never cheated in weights and measures but they were overtaken by starvation, hunger and the tyranny of the rulers. They never refused to pay the zakah but rains were held back from the heavens. If not for animals they would not have received any rains. They never broke Allah’s and His Messenger’s covenant but Allah imposed their enemies on them”_
[The hadith is in Ibn Majah treated Hasan by Albani]

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability abide by HIS commands and stay away from the prohibitions. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

JazaK Allâhu khair!
