Surah Al Isra – Ayah 42 & 43

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Al-Isra Ayat 42 & 43_*

*_Say [O Muhammad]: If there were [other] gods with Him, as they say, they would surely have sought a way to the Lord of the Throne.(42)_*

*_Glory be to Him, and exalted be He far above what they say!(43)_*

The Ayah refutes the false belief of the polytheists and clarifies the unique and sublime postion of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la.‼️ *This Ayah can be seen as a powerful rhetorical tool in the Quran for affirming Tawheed.* It challenges the belief systems that include multiple deities by proposing a logical consequence of such a belief – a struggle for supreme authority, which is not evident in the world as observed. _The Ayah suggests that if there were multiple gods, they would naturally compete or attempt to ascend to the position of the supreme ruler, which is the “Lord of the Throne” in this context. This hypothetical scenario is used to illustrate the impossibility and illogicality of the existence of multiple gods, as it would lead to chaos and conflict, undermining the notion of a perfectly ordered universe, which is central to Islamic thought. The Ayah also implicitly highlights the power and sovereignty of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la. It suggests that even if other gods existed, they would still seek to reach the ultimate authority, who is Allah Azzawajal. This reinforces the idea that Allah Azzawajal is the absolute, uncontested power in the universe._

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that the fact is that in this universe not even a grain of wheat or a blade of grass can grow unless and until everything in the earth and the heavens cooperate with one another for its production. Therefore, only an utterly ignorant and block headed person can conceive that there are more than one independent or semi independent rulers, who carry on the management of this universe‼️. _Anyone who has tried to understand the nature and functioning of the universe will most surely arrive at the conclusion that *there is One and only One Sovereign ruling over this universe*, and there is absolutely no likelihood of anyone else to be a partner in this at any stage nor is there another god, nor has anybody any share in the government of the one and only Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la._

Therefore next Ayah clearly describes the sublime position of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la
*_Glory Be To HIM and exalted be HE far above what they say._*

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la strengthen our Imaan and grant us the true understanding of Tawheed and save us from shirk and Bidah. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

JazaK Allâhu khair!
