Surah Al-Qasas Ayat 45 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (06 May 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]

Ayat 45. (O Muhammad  SAWW PBUH) But Allah created generations [after generations i.e., before you and after Musa (Moses)], and long were the ages that passed over them. And you (O Muhammad  SAWW PBUH) were not a dweller among the people of Madyan (Midian), reciting Our Verses to them. But it is We Who kept sending (Messengers).

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 45. But Allah raised up (new) generations, and long were the ages that passed over them; but thou was not a dweller among the people of Madyan, rehearsing Our Signs to them; but it is We Who send messengers (with inspiration). That is, there were many generations that passed between Moses and the Prophet. Yet he knew by inspiration of the events of those times. Even if he had lived then, he could not have known the events that took place among the Midianites, except by inspiration, as he did not dwell among them. ‘Though thou was not among the Midianites, Our inspiration has told thee of the momentous events that took place among them when Moses was with them. This is itself a Sign that should make thy people understand.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Said Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, “The life of the world is sweet and green. Allah makes you generations succeeding one another so that He may try you in respect of your actions. So, beware of the beguilements of the world and those of women. The first trial of Bani Israel was through women”.

[Muslim Book 36, Chapter 01, Hadith # 6606].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qasas Ayat 45. “But Allah created generations after generations” Wealth and property of this world are favorites of everyone like the fresh fruit which is sweet, delicious and attractive for all. Everyone likes them and is attracted towards them. The most delicious fruit of this world is woman but at the same time it is the most baneful. One who inclines towards wealth and women and ignores the Islamic legal injunctions, has at stake both his Deen and Faith; and one who benefits from them keeping oneself within the bounds of Islam, would be safe from their ruinous effects.
