*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 32_*
*_Those whose souls the angels take [in death] in a state of purity, saying [to them]: Peace be upon you; enter paradise as a reward for your deeds.(32)_*
The Ayah paints a serene picture of the souls who are welcomed by the angels in death.‼️ *These souls are pure and free of any shortcomings or impurity that could reach them and undermine their faith.* _Their hearts are content with knowing and loving Allah, their tongues constantly remember and praise Him, and their physical faculties are constantly focused on acts of obedience and turning to HIM._ When the angels of death reach them, they greet such pious souls with salutations of “Peace be upon you”, a sign of respect, welcome and security from worries. And inform them of the reward which is nothing short of entry into Jannah, a result of their good deeds.
*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand the word *tayyib* which means those who are clean from all kinds of dirt and pollution or ‘spiritual impurity’ and are decorated with virtues and positive attributes.‼️ _The word *Tatawaff ahum meaning that ‘they will receive their soul’,* signifies the fact that death does not mean ‘mortality’ and nothingness or the end of every thing. On the contrary, it is only a transit or a passing stage which paves the way for climbing up the ladder and going up to another stage._
Let’s remind ourselves
1. The afterlife and the soul’s journey.
2. The significance of living a virtuous life.
3. The mercy and compassion of Allah Azzawajal towards the righteous.
*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us a life and also our ending upon Imaan. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*
JazaK Allâhu khair!
