English Translation of Al-Quran
[30].Surah Ar-Rum [The Romans]
Ayat 6. (It is) a Promise of Allah (i.e. Allah will give victory to the Romans against the Persians), and Allah fails not in His Promise, but most men know not.
Tafseer of Surah Al Rum (The Romans) Ayat 06. (It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah depart from His promise: but most men understand not. The promise refers to the Decision of all things by the Command of Allah, who will remove all troubles and difficulties from the path of His righteous Believers, and help them to rejoice over the success of their righteous Cause. This refers to all times and all situations. The righteous should not despair in their darkest moments, for Allah’s help will come. Ordinarily men are puffed up if they score a seeming temporary success against the righteous, and do not realize that Allah’s Will can never be thwarted.
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “Allah is Forbearer and He loves forbearance, and rewards for forbearance while He does not reward severity, and does not give for anything besides it (forbearance).”
[Muslim Book 32, Chapter 21, Hadith # 6273]
Lesson : Mildness is the opposite of harshness. Allah enjoins softness and dislikes stiffness in human relations. Allah assures us of reward for gentle behavior in society, not for unkindness or anything like that. However, inflexibility is preferred to flexibility when there arises a question of religious matters and the limits set by Allah.
