English Translation of Al-Quran
[38].Surah Suad
Ayat 17. Be patient (O Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) of what (offenses and deceitful things) they say, and remember Allah’s servant Dawud (David), endued with power. Verily, he was ever oft-returning in all matters and in repentance (toward Allah).
Tafseer of Surah Suad Ayat 17. Have patience at what they say, and remember our servant David, the man of strength: for he ever turned (to Allah. David was a man of exceptional strength, for even as a raw youth, he slew the Philistine giant Goliath. See 2:249-252. Before that fight, he was mocked by his enemies and chidden even by his own elder brother. But he relied upon Allah, and won through, and afterwards became king.
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, “There is no day on which Allah sets free more slaves from Hell than He does on the Day of `Arafah (The day of Hajj 9th day of Zhu’al Hijjah).”
[Muslim Book 07, Chapter 77, Hadith # 3126].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Hadith Almighty Allah emancipates most of His slaves, both men and women from the Hell-fire on this great day. Millions of pilgrims, who by virtue of their sincere repentance, try to seek the Pleasure of Allah certainly stand to earn Allah’s Pardon for their sins and thereby emancipation from the Hell-fire. May Allah grant us this grace of His.
