Surah Yaseen Ayat 01 to 06 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (26 March 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[36].Surah Yaseen [Yaseen]

Ayat 1. Yaseen. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.]

Ayat 2. By the Qur’an, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs),

Ayat 3. Truly, you (O Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) are one of the Messengers,

Ayat 4. On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah’s religion of Islamic Monotheism).

Ayat 5. (This is) a Revelation sent down by the All Mighty, the Most Merciful,

Ayat 6. In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless.

Tafseer of Surah Ya-Seen, Ayat 1 to 6. Yaseen. Some Commentators take Ya to be the vocative article, and Sin to be the abbreviation of Insan, Sin being the only “Firm Letter” in the word. In that case it would be an address to man. “O man!” But “man” in this connection is understood to mean the Leader of man, the noblest of mankind, Muhammad, the Prophet of Allah. For this Surah deals mainly with the Prophet and his Message. But no dogmatic assertion can be made about the Abbreviated Letters, for which see Appendix I, following S. 2. Ya Seen is usually treated as a title of the Prophet. Ayat 2. By the Qur´an, full of Wisdom,-The best credentials of the Prophet are: (I) the revelation which he brought (“the Qur’an”), and the heroic unselfish life which he led (“on a Straight Way “). The appeal is therefore made on the testimony of these two facts. Ayat 3. Thou art indeed one of the messengers, Ayat 4. On a Straight Way. Ayat 5. It is a Revelation sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. The Revelation again is characterized by two attributes which we find most helpful in contemplating about Allah. It has force and power: for Allah is Exalted in Might and able to enforce His Will. And it brings a Message of hope and mercy; for Allah is Most Merciful. By its characteristics we know that the Qur’an is from Allah. Ayat 6. In order that thou mayest admonish a people, whose fathers had received no admonition, and who therefore remain heedless (of the Signs of Allah. Quraysh had received no Prophet before, and therefore one of themselves was made the vehicle for the universal Message to the whole world. See C. 12-15.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) used to observe Itikaf every year (during Ramadan) for ten days; in the year in which he passed away, he observed Itikaf for twenty days.

[Al-Bukhari Book 03, Chapter 33, Hadith # 260].

Lesson : Our beloved Prophet ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) were preparing himself for meeting with Allah (SWT) and We learn from these Hadith that the observance of Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan is Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH). But it can be done only in a mosque not at home. Itikaf helps to enhance one’s spiritual growth and to strive hard to worship Allah better as there is nothing to distract one’s attention from this noble pursuit.
