[29].Surah Al-Ankabut [The Spider]
Ayat 30. He said: “My Lord! Give me victory over the people who are Mufsidun (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupts).
Ayat 31. And when Our Messengers came to Ibrahim (Abraham) with the glad tidings they said: “Verily, we are going to destroy the people of this [Lout’s (Lot’s)] town (i.e. the town of Sodom in Palestine) truly, its people have been Zalimun [wrong-doers, polytheists and disobedient to Allah, and have also belied their Messenger Lout (Lot)].”
Tafseer of Surah Al-Ankabut (The Spider) Ayat 30 and 31. He said: “O my Lord! Help Thou me against people who do mischief!” When Our Messengers came to Abraham AS with the good news, they said: “We are indeed going to destroy the people of this own ship: for truly they are (addicted to) crime.” See 11:69-76. The angels, who were coming on the mission to destroy the people who were polluting the earth with their crimes, called on their way on Abraham AS to give the good news of the birth of a son to him in his old age. When they told him their destination, he feared for his nephew who he knew was there. They reassured him and then came on to Lut AS By translating township” I imply the two neighboring populations of Sodom and Gomorrah , who had already gone too far in their crime, their shamelessness, and their defiance, to profit by any mercy from Allah.
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “Verily, Allah gives respite to the oppressor. But when He seizes him, He does not let him escape.” Then he (PBUH)) recited, “Such is the Seizure of your Rubb when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful (and) severe”. (11:102).

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al- Ankabut Ayat 31. “”Verily, we are going to destroy the people of this [Lout’s (Lot’s)] town” One should not take the respite for exemption because no one knows when respite granted by Him will come to an end and punishment will follow.
