Surah Ash-Shura Ayat 01 to 04 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (15, Dec 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[42]. Surah Ash-Shura [The Consultation]

Ayat 1. Hâ-Mîm. Ayat 2. ‘Aîn-Sîn-Qâf. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].

Ayat 3. Likewise, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise inspires you (O Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) as (Allah inspired Prophets) those before you.

Ayat 4. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Tafseer of Surah Al Shura (Consultation) Ayat to 4, Ayat 1. Ha Mim, Ayat 2. ´Ain. Sin. Qaf. This Surah has a double set of Abbreviated Letters, one in the first verse, and one in this second verse. No authoritative explanation of this second set is available, and I refrain from speculation. Ayat 3. Thus doth (He) send inspiration to thee as (He did) to those before thee, Allah, Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom. Inspiration is full of Power and Wisdom, and both these qualities are derived from the Power and Wisdom of Allah. Unlike human power, this Power is necessarily good and merciful; unlike human wisdom, this Wisdom is necessarily complete and indisputable. Ayat 4. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: and He is Most High, Most Great. We cannot conceive the distance which separates the Most High from the highest of His creatures. Allah Most Great from the greatest of the beings that we can imagine. The highest heavens are mentioned in the next verse, as well as the noblest creatures that we can imagine, the angels.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said to Jibril (Gabriel), “What prevents you from visiting us more frequently?” Thereupon was revealed the Ayah: “(The angels say:) `And we (angels) descend not except by the Command of your Rubb. To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between those two”. (19:64)

[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 255].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Ash-Shura Ayat 3. Likewise Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise inspires you (O Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) as (Allah inspired Prophets) those before you” This Hadith tells us about the Prophet’s desire for meeting angel Jibril (Gabriel) to have that knowledge which was revealed to him by means of Wahy (Revelation). It also tells us that angels descend to earth for certain missions by the Command of Allah. They have no say of their own in any matter. It also indicates that it is permissible to inquire about Muslim brothers after a long period of time as this is a sign of true love.
