Surah Al Naml Ayat 67 & 68 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (14 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 67. And those who disbelieve say: “When we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we really be brought forth (again)?

Ayat 68. “Indeed, we were promised this, we and our forefathers before, Verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients.”

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 67 and 68. The Unbelievers say: “What! when we become dust,-we and our fathers,- shall we really be raised (from the dead)? “It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients.”

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “Between the two Blowing of the Trumpet there will be an interval of forty.” The people said, “O Abu Hurairah! Do you mean forty days?” He said, “I cannot say anything.” They said, “Do you mean forty years?” He said, “I cannot say anything.” They said, “Do you mean forty months?” He said, “I cannot say anything. The Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) added: `Everything of the human body will perish except the last coccyx bone (end part of the spinal cord), and from that bone Allah will reconstruct the whole body. Then Allah will send down water from the sky and people will grow like green vegetables’.”

[Al-Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Number 457].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Naml Ayat 67. “those who disbelieve say: “When we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we really be brought forth (again)?” 1. When Israfil blows the Trumpet the first time, by Allah’s Leave, all those who are in the heavens and on earth will swoon away, except him whom Allah will. This will be the first Blowing. Then, it will be blown a second time, they will become alive and will emerge from their graves. These Blowing are known as the `Blowing of Fainting and Rising’. As regard the interval between these two Blowing, the narrator of the narration, Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him), could not say anything when he was asked about it; as he himself did not know it. But in other narrations the interval has been mentioned as forty years.

  1. The earth eats away the whole body of humans except the bodies of the Prophets. However, only the end part of the spinal cord remains intact. How it remains intact is known to Allah, but from it mankind will be created again.
  2. Bodies will rise from the earth as vegetation springs out from the earth after the rainfall.

Surah Al Naml Ayat 66 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (13 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 66. Nay, they (infidel) have no knowledge of the Hereafter. Nay, they are in doubt about it. Nay, they are blind about it.

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 66. Still less can their knowledge comprehend the Hereafter: Nay, they are in doubt and uncertainty there anent; nay, they are blind thereunto! The Unbelievers are generally materialists, who cannot go beyond the evidence of their physical senses. As to a spiritual vision of the future, their physical senses would only leave them in doubt and uncertainty, while their rejection of the spiritual Light makes them blind altogether to the spiritual world.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “The world is the believer’s prison and the infidel’s Jannah”.

[Muslim Book 42,Chapter 01, Hadith # 7058]

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Naml Ayat 66. “they (infidel) have no knowledge of the Hereafter” As compared with the pleasures and luxuries, which are in store for a true believer in Jannah in the Hereafter, this world is a prison; and against the ceaseless torture that awaits the Kuffar (disbelievers) in Hell, this world is a Jannah for them. It can also mean that the way a Muslim saves himself in life from lusts and desires and leads a pious life with fear of Allah, this world is a prison for him because he is fettered in the chains of rules and regulations, while a Kafir (disbeliever) is free from all kinds of restrictions and is completely given to lusts and desires, and this is how this world is a Jannah for him. The purpose of this Hadith is to induce Muslims for the preparation of Al-akhirah (the Hereafter) and prevent them from unlawful luxuries of this world.

Surah Al Naml Ayat 64 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (11 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 64. Is not He (better than your so-called gods) Who originates creation, and shall thereafter repeat it, and Who provides (food & provision) for you from heaven and earth? Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? Say, “Bring forth your proof, if you are truthful.”

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 64. Or, Who originates creation, then repeats it, and who gives you sustenance from heaven and earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah. Say, “Bring forth your argument, if you are telling the truth!” Sustenance: of course in the spiritual as well as the material sense All the arguments point to the Unity of Allah: there is none whatsoever against it.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Umer bin Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) saying, “If you all depend on Allah with due reliance, He would certainly give you provision as He gives it to birds who go forth hungry in the morning and return with full belly at dusk”.

[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2344].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Naml Ayat 64. “and Who provides (food & provision) for you from heaven and earth?” Trust in Allah does not mean that one should not give any importance to material resources. What it really means is that along with their due importance, one should have full trust in Allah. Without His Will, material resources are of no avail. But nevertheless, it is necessary to have material resources because their procurement is also ordained by Him. Birds do not keep sitting in their nests for food but fly out in search of it.

Surah Al Naml Ayat 63 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (10 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 63. Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain)? Is there any ilaha (god) with Allah? High Exalted be Allah above all that they associate as partners (to Him)!.

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 63. Or, Who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy? (Can there be another) god besides Allah.- High is Allah above what they associate with Him! After external nature, our attention was drawn to our inner consciousness; after that, it is drawn here to our social and collective life, in which we use the forces of nature for international intercourse, trade, agriculture, production, and economic well-being generally. In the next verse, we are asked to contemplate creation from its primeval stages, through its intermediate processes, to the final Destiny in a new creation-a new heaven and a new earth.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “The similitude of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like a rain which has fallen on some ground. A fertile part of earth has absorbed water and brought forth much grass and herbs. Another part, which is solid, held the water and Allah benefited men thereby, who drank and gave others to drink, and used it for irrigation. But some of it has fallen on a portion of sandy land which neither retains the water nor produces herbage. Such is the likeness of the man who understands the religion of Allah and who gets benefit of what Allah has sent me with; he learns and teaches others. It is also the likeness of the man who neither raises his head on that account (meaning he does not benefit from what the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) was sent with) nor accepts Allah’s Guidance with which I am sent”.

[Al-Bukhari Book 01,Chapter 03, Hadith # 079]

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Naml Ayat 63 “Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness” In this Hadith the guidance and knowledge which was sent to mankind through the Prophet (PBUH) is compared to the rain which is beneficial, because this knowledge resuscitates the dead hearts as does the rain to a barren land. One who makes use of this knowledge is likened to a good soil, and one who acquires this knowledge and imparts it to others but does not put it into practice is considered akin to a hard land which holds water and other people utilize it. A person who neither learns it nor acts upon it is like a desolate land which neither holds water nor produces anything. Such a person is the worst of all because he neither himself benefits from it nor lets others make use of it. This Hadith induces one to acquire knowledge, impart it to others, put it into actual practice and warns people from neglecting this duty.

Surah Al Naml Ayat 62 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (09 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 62. Is not Allah (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations. Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? Little is that you remember!

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 62. Or, Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and Who relieves its suffering, and makes you (mankind) inheritors of the earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah. Little it is that ye heed! Besides the evidence of external nature, there is still more intimate evidence in man’s inner conscience and heart. Allah listens to man’s cry of agony and relieves his suffering, and He has given him superiority over other creation on this earth, through his mind and soul. Is man then going to run after inferior beings and forget Allah?

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, the world will not come to an end until a man passes by a grave and will lie over it saying, `Would that I were in this grave (i.e., dead)!’ Not he will say so because of religious reasons but because of widespread mischief and severe trials of this world.”

[Al-Bukhari Book 09, Chapter 88, Hadith # 231]

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Naml Ayat 62.“Is not Allah (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls Him, and Who removes the evil” There would be such disasters and agony in the world that people will prefer death to life under such conditions. This situation will arise before the Day of Resurrection, and the Day of Judgment will dawn on such wicked people.

Surah Al Naml Ayat 61 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (08 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 61. Is not He (better than your gods) Who has made the earth as a fixed abode, and has placed rivers in its midst, and has placed firm mountains therein, and has set a barrier between the two seas (of salt and sweet water). Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? Nay, but most of them know not.

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 61. Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah. Nay, most of them know not. The terra firma, the flowing water, and the cycle of water circulation-sea, vapor, clouds, rain, rivers, and sea again-all one and yet all distinct, with a sort of wonderful barrier between saltwater and freshwater: can man see all this and yet be ignorant of Allah?

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Sahl bin Saad (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “Were this world worth a wing of mosquito, He would not have given a drink of water to an (Kafir) infidel.”

[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2320].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Naml Ayat 61. “Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? Nay, but most of them know not” This Hadith makes it clear that the world and its wealth and riches has no significance to Allah. Thus, it should not have much significance to the believers. It should be considered a means to reform the Afterlife, or a place of trial.

Surah Al Naml Ayat 60 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (07 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 60. Is not Allah (better than your gods) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sent down for you water (rain) from the sky, whereby Allah caused wonderful gardens to grow full of beauty and delight? It is not in your ability to cause the growth of their trees. Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? Nay, but they are a people who ascribe equals (to Him)!

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 60. Or, Who has created the heavens and the earth, and Who sends you down rain from the sky? Yea, with it We cause to grow well-planted orchards full of beauty of delight: it is not in your power to cause the growth of the trees in them. (Can there be another) god besides Allah. Nay, they are a people who swerve from justice. The order, beauty, and grandeur of the universe are appealed to. They show unity of design and purpose. How can unjust, ignorant, foolish, heedless, false men think of a multiplicity of gods, or of any god besides the One True God? To make a single seed germinate and grow into a tree is beyond man’s power. When it comes to a great well-laid-out garden of beauty and delight, no one would think it grew up by itself without a gardener’s consummate art. And the orchard is more than the trees in it: there is design and beauty in their arrangement; proper spaces have to be left between them for the growth of their roots, for the aeration of the soil beneath them, and for the penetration of air and sunlight between their branches. How can anyone then think of the wonderful universe as a whole, without thinking of the far higher Unity of Design, the evidence of the One True Allah?

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) took hold of my hand and said, “Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created the earth on Saturday, the mountains on Sunday, the trees on Monday, the things entailing labour on Tuesday, light on Wednesday, He spread out animals of all kinds on Thursday, and created Adam in the afternoon on Friday, and it was the last hour of Friday between the afternoon and the night.”

[Muslim Hadith # 6707].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Naml Ayat 60. “whereby Allah cause to grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight? It is not in your ability to cause the growth of their trees. What does “Day” mean, and how long can it be? Its reality only Allah knows. We observe a day of 24 hours. However, the days of the formation of the universe are evidently different from our earthly days. According to the Arabic language, a day may mean just a moment, but also aeons (age) of time. In the Qur’an also, Allah has mentioned that a `day’ may be of one thousand or fifty thousand years.

Surah Al Naml Ayat 59 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (06 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 59. Say (O Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH) “Praise and thanks be to Allah, and peace be on His slaves whom He has chosen (for His Message)! Is Allah better, or (all) that you ascribe as partners (to Him)?” (Of course, Allah is Better).

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 59. Praise be to Allah, and Peace on his servants whom He has chosen (for his Message). (Who) is better?- Allah or the false gods they associate (with Him)? Allah’s revelation having been described as Light, Guidance, and Mercy, we ought all to be grateful to Allah for vouchsafing His revelation. We ought also to appreciate the services of Allah’s Messengers, who are chosen to deliver His Message: we ought to send salutations of Peace on them, instead of plotting, as the wicked do, for their removal or persecution, or banishment or death, for these Prophets of Allah undergo every kind of hardship and forego every kind of advantage or pleasure in life for serving mankind. And Allah is truth and goodness, and all our fancies of false worship are falsehoods and evils. Shall we prefer falsehood and evil to truth and goodness?

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “Many a person with shaggy and dusty hair, dusty and driven away from doors (because of their poverty and shabby clothes) were to swear by Allah (that something would happen), Allah will certainly make it happen”.

[Muslim Book # 40, Chapter 13, Hadith # 6836].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Naml Ayat 59.“peace be on His slaves whom He has chosen (for His Message)” 1. One must understand the meaning of having shaggy and dusty hair and clothes does not mean it is require by Islam, obviously Islam promote neatness and cleanness also Allah (SWT) loves those who keeps themselves clean, This Hadith highlights the importance and value of those personals who may does not look very impressive in worldly sense by having very expensive clothing, due to their strong believe in life afterwards they do not spend on themselves in lavish ways and means, but there piousness and following of Sunnah with strongest of faith they have very special bounding with Allah (SWT) and therefore it they swear by him there words are honored by all means by Allah (SWT).

Surah Al Naml Ayat 58 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (05 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 58. And Allah rained down on them a rain (of stones and destroyed them). So evil was the rain of those who were warned.

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 58. And We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, “If Allah afflicts punishment upon a nation, it befalls the whole population indiscriminately and then they will be resurrected and judged according to their deeds.”

[Al-Bukhari Book 09, Chapter 88, Hadith # 224]

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Naml Ayat 58. “Allah rained down on them a rain (of stones and destroyed them)”. When Allah’s punishment comes to pass, it does not distinguish between the upright and the wicked. However, the pious people will be saved from punishment after their death while the wicked ones will be punished in Hell. May Allah save us from all types of punishments.

Surah Al Naml Ayat 56 & 57 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (04 March 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]

Ayat 56. There was no other answer given by his people except that they said: “Drive out the family of Lout AS (Lot) from your city. Verily, these are men who want to be clean and pure!”

Ayat 57. So We saved him and his family, except his wife. We destined her to be of those who remained behind.

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 56 & 57. But his people gave no other answer but this: they said, “Drive out the followers of Lut from your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!” Instead of being ashamed on account of the consciousness of their own guilt, they attack the pure ones with their sarcasm, as if not they but the pure ones were in the wrong, trying to set them on the right path. But We saved him and his family, except his wife; her We destined to be of those who lagged behind.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Shuraih Khuwailid bin `Amr Al-Khuza’i (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, “O Allah, I declare inviolable the rights of two weak ones: the orphans and women”.

[Sunan’ An-Nasai Hadith # 9150]

Lesson : The poor are generally treated callously in human society. Women and orphans are regular victims of this cruelty. They are deprived of their share in property to which they are entitled under the Islamic law. In some cases their properties are usurped and they are maltreated at the hands of usurpers. The Prophet (PBUH) has threatened them with serious consequences to prevent the Muslims from committing such injustice. The attitude of Muslims and the teachings of Islam in this matter are two different things. How can Islam be blamed for the attitude of Muslims? It is time Muslims should understand that Islam is getting a bad name because of their bad conduct. As a result of this they are committing a double crime. On the one hand, they are guilty of usurping others of their legitimate rights and perpetrating cruelties, and on the other, disgracing their religion. In other words, rather than preaching Islam they are creating obstacles in the way of people joining the fold of Islam. May Allah grant us guidance to follow the right path. Amen!
