Let not the fear of people influence you

*READING TIME..*
ARTICLE-36

*DURING THIS QUARANTINE TIME,*
*LETS STAY HOME AND BE SAFE AND DO SOME QUALITY READING TO INCREASE OUR KNOWLEDGE….*

*LET NOT THE FEAR OF PEOPLE*
*INFLUENCE YOU ON MAKING*
*DECISIONS OR PASSING JUDGEMENTS,*
*LET IT BE YOUR FEAR OF ALLAH*

This is inspiring story about Shuraih Radiyallahu Anhu.
_____
One day, ‘Umar Ibn Al Khattab, who was the Amir ul Mumineen of that time, wanted to buy a horse from a Bedouin, and so he rode it in order to test it out.
During his test ride, the horse stumbled and was crippled as a result.
‘Umar then told the Bedouin to take back his horse, the man then said *“No.”*
After hearing this ‘Umar then told him
*“Then choose a judge to render a judgment in our dispute.”*
The Bedouin then said,
*“I choose Shuraih.”*
So they went to Shuraih and after hearing both the sides of ‘Umar and the Bedouin, he said,
*“O Leader of the Believers, take what you have purchased (the horse), or return what you took in the condition it was in when you took it.”*
‘Umar was so impressed by this judgment of Shuraih that he exclaimed saying,
*“This is how a judge should pass judgments!”*

*He then sent Shuraih as a judge to Kufah.*
*Ma sha Allah!*

*Look at how Shuraih gave such a sound judgement, he was neither shun or influenced by the high status of ‘Umar nor the simplicity of the Bedouin.*

*Indeed, when we try to trace the tracks of Islam, we will find how beautiful were the characteristics of those people before us and how they have valued the teachings of the Qu’ran and follow the sunnah of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.*

If this happened these days, it’s so sad to say but the one on the higher status would easily get what he wanted and the simple ordinary man would be refrained from what he should justly get.
_____
*Indeed, this story of Shuraih should remind us on how we should pass on judgment whenever we are placed in situations like this, that we should not be influenced nor be affected by the status of other people.*

Next time, when we are to judge, let the fear of the wrath of Allah Azza Wa Jall empower and enlighten our minds and let not the fear for the people influence us in our decisions.
*REMEMBER*
*ALLAH AZZA WA JALL*
*IS AL ADL, THE JUST,*
And He will definitely justify our actions on the day of Qiyamah.
Wallahi, we will all taste the fruits of our deeds on the very first stop towards akhirah, and that is the grave, one thing that every soul will pass, every soul shall taste,
*SO TAKE HEED*
_____
And we pray that this story of Shuraih enlightens and encourages us on passing on judgement without any trace of *favoritism* or being *biased* that we may uphold the words of Allah Azza Wa Jall saying:
*“O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah , witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.” [Qur’an 5: Verse 8]*
