Surah Ar-Rum Ayat 12 & 13 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (08 August 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[30].Surah Ar-Rum [The Romans]

Ayat 12. And on the Day when the Hour will be established, the Mujrimun (disbelievers, sinners, criminals, polytheists, etc.) will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows, and despair.

Ayat 13. No intercessor will they have from those whom they made equal with Allah (partners i.e. their so called associate gods), and they will (themselves) reject and deny their partners.

Tafseer of Surah Al Rum (The Romans) Ayat 12 and 13. On the Day that the Hour will be established, the guilty will be struck dumb with despair. The Hour will be established: in due time the Hour will come when Judgment will be established, and the seeming disturbance of balance in this world will be redressed. Then the Good will rejoice, and the Guilty, faced with the Realities, will lose all their illusions and be struck dumb with despair. 13. No intercessor will have among their “Partners”, and they will (themselves) reject their “Partners”. False worship will then appear in its true colors. Anything to which we offered the worship due to Allah alone, will vanish instead of being of any help. Indeed, the deluded false worshippers, whose eyes will now be opened, will themselves reject their falsehoods, as the Truth will now shine with unquestioned splendor.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, “When Allah intends good for His slave, He punishes him in this world, but when He intends an evil for His slave, He does not hasten to take him to task but calls him to account on the Day of Resurrection.”

[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2396].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Ar-Rum [The Romans] Ayat 12. “Day when the Hour will be established, the Mujrimun (disbelievers, sinners, criminals, polytheists, etc.) will be plunged into destruction” This Hadith shows that, for a Muslim, trials are also a blessing in this world because his sins are forgiven in proportion to the trials he has to face and his reward is increased with the Will of Allah. Thus, a Muslim should always be patient and content in the event of trial because without these qualities he will not have the privilege associated with them. In fact, his impatience would increase his sins even further.
