[31].Surah Luqman [Luqman]
Ayat 14. And Allah have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years give thanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination.
Tafseer of Surah Luqman Ayat 14. And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), “Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal. The set of milk teeth in a human child is completed at the age of two years, which is therefore the natural extreme limit for breast-feeding. In our artificial life the duration is much less ( Cf. 2:233).
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: I asked Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH), “Would I be rewarded for what I spend on Abu Salamah’s sons? For I can’t let them go here and there (to beg people).” Messenger of Allah (PBUH) replied, “Spend on them and you will be rewarded for what you spend on them”.

Lesson : parents spend money on their children out of their natural love for them, Allah is so Gracious that He not only rewards them for it, but He gives it in greater proportion than what they spend on other meritorious items.
