Surah Al-Ankabut Ayat 24 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (27 June 2023)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[29].Surah Al-Ankabut [The Spider]

Ayat 24. So nothing was the answer of [Ibrahim’s (Abraham)] people except that they said: “Kill him or burn him.” Then Allah saved him from the fire. Verily, in this are indeed signs for a people who believe.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Ankabut (The Spider) Ayat 24. So naught was the answer of (Abraham´s) people except that they said: “Slay him or burn him.” But Allah did save him from the Fire. Verily in this are Signs for people who believe. See 21:66-70. Abraham was cast into the fire, but he was unhurt, by the grace of Allah. So righteous people suffer no harm from the plots of the wicked. But they must leave the environment of evil even if they have to forsake their ancestral home, as Abraham did.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Jabir Ibn Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) before sacrificing animals on 10th Dhul Hijjah supplicated these words, “I detaching myself from everyone and concentrating on one”. “Who created the heavens and the earth, and I am not one of the polytheists “Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the Universe (‘Alamin all mankind, jinn’s and all that exists). O Allah (this sacrifice) it comes from you and is given to (sacrifice for) you. In the name of Allah, and Allah is Most Great” He then made a sacrifice.

[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi]

Lesson: as mentioned above in This Hadith.” Sacrificing animals on 10th, 11th & 12th Zhu’al Hijjah is conducted to furnish the principle that the reward of sacrificing something for Allah goes with its quality. The more precious the thing sacrificed, the greater its reward will be.

Note: This Dua must be read in Arabic before sacrifice, reading translation in other languages is not recommended;
