Surah Al Hijr – Ayah 19

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Hijr Ayah 19_*

*_”And the earth We spread it and cast therein firm mountains and caused to grow therein every well-balanced thing.”(19)_*

_The growth of every kind of plant in a limited extent is another *Sign of the wisdom and power of Allah.* For the generative power of every vegetable plant is so great that if free growth had been allowed to even one kind of plant, it would have covered the whole surface of the Earth. *But it is by the design of the All-Wise and All-Powerful Creator that every kind of vegetable is produced in a balanced measure.*_

_There is another aspect of the vegetable life. Each and every kind of it is allowed to grow only to a fixed size, height, and thickness, which is a proof of the fact that the Creator himself prescribed the structure, the shape, the size, the height, the leaves and branches, and the number of each and every plant, and no plant is allowed to go beyond any of these fixed limits._

*_Act for the Day is:_* _To understand *Majesty, Order, Beauty, and Harmony in all Allah’s creation and Glorify and Praise Him.‼️*_
_Let’s be thankful for Allah Azzawajal’s care for us and HIS goodness as shown (besides HIS other qualities) in HIS creation of the earth. In highly poetical language, the earth is described as spread out like a carpet, on which the eternal hills/mountains act as weights to keep it steady, otherwise we might have frequent earthquakes disturbing our peaceful life ._

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability to remain grateful to HIM for all HIS favours by submitting to HIM in toto. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*
