Surah Al Hijr – Ayah 54

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Al-Hijr Ayah 54_*

*_He said: Do you bring me glad tidings when old age has overtaken me? What kind of glad tidings are you bringing me?(54)_*

The Ayah describes the response of Prophet Ibrahim(AS) to the good news conveyed to him from the Angels of having a son.‼️ *He was amazed to be promised a son when both he and his wife were in advanced years.* _It is in human nature that when a person hears something entirely unexpected but delightful and that too from unknown persons , the first reaction is expression of a joyful disbelief._ Prophet Ibrahim(AS) questions the guests about the source and authenticity of the their news in exclamation.

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la has the power to bestow the blessing on whomever HE wills. *HE SWT also has the power to create anything or create something that deviates from HIS own Sunnah.*‼️ _It is natural for humans to be amazed by extraordinary events, even if it is only a message. But one should develop a level of confidence in the attributes and power of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la that HE SWT is capable of everything._

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability to reflect and ponder upon HIS attributes and strengthen our Imaan. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*
