Surah Al Mumin Ayat 14 & 15 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (15 Sep 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 14. So, call you (O Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and the believers) upon (or invoke) Allah making (your) worship pure for Him (Alone) (by worshipping none but Him and by doing religious deeds sincerely for Allah’s sake only and not to show-off and not to set up rivals with Him in worship). However much the disbelievers (in the Oneness of Allah) may hate (it).

Ayat 15. (He is Allah) Owner of High Ranks and Degrees, the Owner of the Throne. He sends the Inspiration by His Command to any of His slaves He wills, that he (the person who receives inspiration) may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting (i.e. The Day of Resurrection).

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) Ayat 14. Call, then, upon Allah with sincere devotion to Him, even though the Unbelievers may detest it. Ayat 15. Raised high above ranks (or degrees), (He is) the Lord of the Throne (of Authority): by His Command doth He send the Spirit (of inspiration) to any of His servants he pleases, that it may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting,- He is raised far above any rank or degree which we can imagine. It is possible also to treat Raft’, as equivalent to Rafi, meaning that He can raise His creatures to the highest ranks and degrees in His spiritual kingdom, for He is the fountain of all honor. The choosing of a man to be the recipient of inspiration-to be the standard bearer of Allah’s Truth-is the highest honor possible in the spiritual Kingdom, And Allah bestows that honor according to His own most perfect Will and Plan, which no one can question, for He is the fountain of all honor, dignity, and authority. All men will meet together and meet their Lord at the Resurrection, no matter how far scattered they may have been in life or in death..

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, “O people! Allah is Pure and, therefore, accepts only that which is pure. Allah has commanded the believers as He has commanded His Messengers by saying: `O Messengers! Eat of the good things, and do good deeds.’ (23:51) And He said: `O you who believe (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you” (2:172). Then he ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) made a mention of the person who travels for a long period of time, his hair is disheveled and covered with dust. He lifts his hand towards the sky and thus makes the supplication: `My Rubb! My Rubb!’ But his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothes are unlawful and his nourishment is unlawful, how can, then his supplication be accepted?”

[Muslim Hadith # 2214].

Lesson: This Hadith shows the value of honest earning, for the grant of prayer, honest earning is essential. Allah accepts charity only if it has been earned in an honest way. Moreover, before any pious action, honest earning for living is essential; otherwise, good actions will also go to waste..
