Surah Al-Zumar Ayat 67 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (28 Aug 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[39].Surah Al-Zumar [The Groups]

Ayat 67. They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him. And on the Day of Resurrection the whole of the earth will be grasped by His Hand and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified is He, and High is He above all that they associate as partners with Him!

Tafseer of Surah Al Zumar Ayat 67. No just estimate have they made of Allah, such as is due to Him: On the Day of Judgment the whole of the earth will be but His handful, and the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand: Glory to Him! High is He above the Partners they attribute to Him! Cf. 6:91, and 22:74. In running after false gods or the powers of nature they have forgotten that all creatures are as nothing before Allah. See last note. The whole earth will be no more to Allah than a thing that a man might enclose in the hollow of his hand, nor will the heavens with their vast expanse be more than a scroll, which a man might roll up with his right hand, the hand of power and action. Cf. 21:104, and 81:1.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, He who has done a wrong affecting his brother’s honor or anything else, let him ask his forgiveness today before the time (i.e., the Day of Resurrection) when he will have neither a dinar nor a dirham. If he has done some good deeds, a portion equal to his wrong doings will be subtracted from them; but if he has no good deeds, he will be burdened with the evil deeds of the one he had wronged in the same proportion”.

[Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 76, Hadith # 541].

Lesson: Reflect (within yourselves the life history of the Prophet  [SAWW](PBUH).): there is no madness in your companion (Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH), he is only a warner to you” This Hadith tells us that if one does not compensate a person who has been harmed by one and has not been pardoned for it, then it would have a serious consequence in the Hereafter. Its detail is mentioned in this Hadith. Thus, negligence in the case of public rights, which we take very lightly, is in fact ruinous.
