Tafseer of Surah Suad Ayat 20. Allah strengthened his kingdom, and gave him wisdom and sound judgment in speech and decision. Cf. 21:79 for David’s sound judgment in decisions; he could also express himself aptly, as his Psalms bear witness. Ayat 21. Has the Story of the Disputants reached thee? Behold, they climbed over the wall of the private chamber. David was a pious man, and he had a well-guarded private chamber (Mihrab) for Prayer and Praise.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Jabir Ibn Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ  [SAWW](PBUH) before sacrificing animal on 10th Dhul Hijjah supplicated these words, “I detaching myself from everyone and concentrating on one”. “Who created the heavens and the earth, and I am not one of the polytheists “Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the Universe (‘Alamin all mankind, jinn’s and all that exists). O Allah (this sacrifice) it comes from you and is given to (sacrifice for) you. In the name of Allah, and Allah is Most Great” He then made a sacrifice.

[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi]

Lesson: as mentioned above in This Hadith.” Sacrificing animals on 10th, 11th & 12th Zhu’al Hijjah is conducted to furnish the principle that the reward of sacrificing something for Allah goes with its quality. The more precious the thing sacrificed, the greater its reward will be.

Note: This Dua must be read in Arabic before sacrifice, reading translation in other languages is not recommended;
