*HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF HOW THE SAHABAH RADIYALLAHU ANHUM SPENT THEIR FAJR MORNINGS?*

Imâm Al-Awzâ’î RA once said:
*“At the time of Fajr, or a while before it, the Salaf would be as if birds were sitting on their heads: (still ) concentrating on themselves [and their worship], so much so that even if one of their closest friends came to them after having been parted from them, they would not notice him.*

They would remain in this state until just before sunrise. Then, they would meet each other and sit in the circles.

The first thing they would discuss is the matter of their *afterlife* and what would become of them in the hereafter. Then they would begin the circles of Quran and Fiqh study.”

Subhan’Allah look how they were spending the time worthy of praises and glorification of Allah! Subhan’Allaah!

*Indeed, they are the companions of the Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wassalaam, such were their characters, such were their iman, such were men who were chosen by Allaah to be the companions of His Messenger both here in the dunya and in the akhirah, they were shining stars of this Ummah.*

They were bodies of iman so full of noor, that they upheld the commands of Allaah saying;

[2] “So be patient over what they say and exalt [ Allah ] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied.”

*These are the people who we have to look up to, emulate and set as inspirations for us to become better Muslims and that we are able to save our souls and live our lives in proper obedience and guidance to and from Allah.* in sha Allaah.

*Don’t we feel anything after reading this?*
When some of us don’t even “try” to have the niyyah to wake up for Fajr?
Look at these people, they spent so little less on sleeping,
*They kept awake praising and glorifying Allah.*

These stories should rather make you inspired and eager to emulate their characteristics, when we love someone when we adore someone we desire so much to be with them, so if you love the sahabah, if you love Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wassalaam and of course if you love Allah, then strive to become better, be obedient to Him, so that in the end, you can be with Him at the end of your journey.

Yes, soon the time will arrive that you will hear the footsteps of your family, not because they are visiting you, but because they are placing you inside your grave and leave you there,
*ALL ALONE,*
*JUST YOU*
*JUST YOU AND YOUR DEEDS.*
How can a man live in such a cruel world that doesn’t think that everything will end? How many people shall we see pass away infront of our very eyes to be able to comprehend that everyone leaves and dies?
Do we not learn from them? Do we not reflect from their deeds, their characters?
Do we not fear a bad end? Do we aim for a blissful end? What comes to your mind
*When you hear the word death?*
Does it make you tremble in fear, or you just hear it as if it’s just a common word from the english dictionary?

*O MUSLIM*
*YOU ARE BOUND TO DIE.*
*THIS IS THE TRUTH, SO PREPARE FOR IT.*

*Yes, you are bound to die, from the day you were born you were already dying. You are but a number of days, O sound soul.*
*THIS IS THE TRUTH.*

Stop comforting yourself with a lie, with a false hope, it has been mentioned in the Qur’ān that we shall taste death and that we are to return to Our Creator.

Muhammad ﷺ said;

“Verily, each one of you is formed in his mother’s womb forty days as a drop, then he is something suspended for a similar period, then he is a piece of flesh like a chewed piece of meat for another period of forty days, then the angel is sent to insert the soul.
*This angel is ordered to record four things:*
*The sustenance which he will receive during his lifetime,*
*The length of his life,*
*All actions that he will do,*
*And whether he will end up miserable (in hell) or joyous (in paradise).*

I swear by the One other than whom there is no deity, one of you may do the works of the people of paradise right up until there is only an arm’s length between him and paradise, but his destiny overtakes him, so he does the actions of the poeple of the fire and enters it.
And, verily, one of you may do the works of the people of hell until there is nothing between them and hell except for one arm’s length, but his destiny overtakes him, and so he does the works of the people of paradise, and enters it.”
[Muslim]

We are bound to leave this dunya, so let us prepare for our departure, indeed we are but travelers of this dunya, this is a temporary world for us.
*Plant your seeds in Jannah,*
Pack your bags with good deeds, prepare O Muslim, prepare because anytime the Angel of Death will knock upon your door.

*By Allāh, indeed everything has been decreed.*
Let us keep ourselves reminded of our destiny, that
*To Allāh we belong and indeed to Allāh we shall return,*
So do deeds that will make this journey back to Our Lord, an easy returning.
By Allāh, we should not keep ourselves at ease that we can do it tomorrow, that we can change tomorrow,
*DO NOT PROCRASTINATE, THE ANGEL OF DEATH DOESN’T !*

*Let us make abundant du’ā for everything, for forgiveness.*

Muhammad ﷺ said;

*[1] “Nothing but Du’ā averts decree; nothing but righteousness prolongs life; and indeed, a man is deprived of a provision due to a sin he commits.” [Al-Hakim]*

*[2] “Supplicate to Allāh with absolute belief that your Du’ā will be accepted. And know that Allāh Subhānahū wa Ta’ālā does not answer a Du’ā that comes from a careless and inattentive heart.” [Tirmidhī]*

EVERYDAY
SPARE A MOMENT TO REMEMBER
*THE DEPARTED SOULS*

AND ASK FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF ALLAH UPON THEM

When we have lived among people whom we used to see every now and then, we come to a point that we feel like something is missing when we haven’t seen them which makes the separation from them
*Hard and painful.*

Our life is temporary here in the dunya,
We are all bound to die,
We are all bound to leave our belongings here,
We indeed travel as strangers in this world, for indeed, our home is in the akhirah, [jannah or jahanam].

Muhammad ﷺ said;
“When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end except three:
*Ongoing Charity,*
*Beneficial Knowledge and* *Righteous Offspring who will pray for him.”*

[Sahih Muslim 3084]

Each one of us, is a son or a daughter of someone, Indeed we can pray for our parents,
Let our good deeds embark with our du’as that would *reach our parents* when they or when they have already departed from this dunya.

We all have a duty to one another, teach one another, help one another, guide one another, we are but brothers and sisters in faith, our du’as are our weapons and our ‘ilm and amal are our protection from the temptations of Shaitan.
in sha Allaah.
So you, young soul,
*Make it a habit of everyday to spare a moment to remember the departed souls of your beloved ones and ask for the Forgiveness of Allah upon them.*

Remember
In a matter of time,
We shall be gathering with them,
so live this day as if it’s your last,
pray with a purified heart, worship with a sincere intention,
praise and exalt Allaah and ask for His Forgiveness in abundance.

Save your soul now,
Teach what you know about the deen, help build a masjid, or give out Qur’an books, or help feed the poor, shelter an orphan, you are able to do many things to, small or big, as long as it is sincerely done, then in sha Allaah it would help you in the akhirah.
in sha Allaah.

And when you are married, guide and advice your children out of the Fear of Allaah, so they may increase their taqwa and eagerness to learn about the deen, and see to it that you *practice what you preach,* that you yourself, become a model for them to look at, better your character everyday, so that they may reflect upon your children.
in sha Allaah.

And I end this with this verse from the Qur’an;

*Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.*
*Surely to Allaah we belong and to Him shall we return.*
[2:156]
____

and we pray that we are able to do good deeds out of sincere intention of helping one another for the betterment of understanding the Deen, and that we are able to withstand what we preach by practicing it, that our character becomes upright with every salah that we do.

Indeed, there are moments in our lives that we find ourselves in situations where it becomes so hard to hold on and keep hoping.

We all go through that, and we all survive in flying colors and find ourselves better than before.
Right?

I wanted to share this beautiful gem between the Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum and the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.

One night, the Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum were gathered together with the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam, and he was telling about the causes of acceptance of the supplication made by a Muslim so as the nullifiers of it.
So the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam said:
*“There is not a Muslim who supplicates with a supplication which does not contain any sin nor cutting off of relations, except that Allah gives him for it one of three ways: either He will answer his prayer or accumulate it for him for the Hereafter or turn away from him an equal amount of evil.”*
So the Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum said:
*“Then we will ask a lot.”*
And the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam said:
*“ALLAH WILL ANSWER EVEN MORE.”*

_____

This is the story that is quite similar to this situation. This happened during the migration of ‘Umar Ibn Al Khattab RA to Madinah.

‘Umar RA described in his own words:

“When we decided to migrate to Madinah, I made an appointment with ‘Iyaash Ibn Abu Rabi’ah and Hishaam Ibn Al-’Aas Ibn Waa’il As Sahmee.
We agreed to meet at At Tanaadub (a well known place that was filled with trees), in the aread of Adaa’ah, which was inhabited by the children of Ghaffaar (Adaa’ah was situated approximately 10 miles outside of Makkah.)
Adaa’ah was situated just above Sarif (a valley that, when compared to the other valleys of Makkah, was of medium length).
We said among ourselves, ‘If any one of us does not reach that spot in the morning, the rest of us should just assume that he was held back (captured, found out and imprisoned, etc.), and should continue on their way (to Madinah without him).’

The morning of our appointment, both I and ‘Iyaash Ibn Abu Rabi’ah met at At Tanaadub; Hishaam, on the other hand, was held back; was tempted away from his religion (through coercion, threats, intimidation tactics, etc.); and, in the end, succumbed.
When we reached Madinah, we stayed as guests at Quba, among the children of ‘Amr Ibn ‘Awf. (Even though we had arrived safely in Madinah, the leaders of the Quraish still didn’t give up.)

Abu Jahl Ibn Hishaam and Al Haarith Ibn Hishaam went out in pursuit of ‘Iyaash Ibn Abu Rabi’ah who was related to them in two ways; he was their paternal cousin and their half-brother, by way of their common mother.

They continued their pursuit until they reached Madinah, and at the time, the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was still in Makkah. The two of them spoke to ‘Iyaash, saying to him, ‘Verily, your mother has vowed never to allow a comb to touch her head until she sees you; and never to take shade away from the sun until she sees you.’

‘Iyaash felt compassion for his mother (and) seemed to agree that he should return to Makkah and comfort her).’ I said to him, ‘By Allah, ‘Iyaash, your people want nothing other than to tempt you away from your religion, so beware of them! By Allah, were lice to harm your mother, she would comb her hair (in an attempt to remove them). And were she to feel the extreme heat of Makkah, she would seek out shade.’

‘Iyaash replied, ‘I will honor my mother’s vow;anyway, I have wealth in Makkah, so I will go and take it.’ I said, ‘By Allah, you know that I am among the wealthiest of the people of the Quraish: you can have half of my wealth if you don’t go with those two men.’ He refused to accept anything I said, and instead insisted on going with them.

When I saw that he would not change his mind, I said, ‘If you will do as you feel you must do (i.e., if you feel you have to go), then at least take my riding camel, for it is a superior and well-trained mount. Remain on its back [during your journey back to Makkah], and if you become suspicious that you travel companions are plotting against you, you can ride away on it towards safety.’

He left with them, but he took the riding animal, After that they had traveled for some time, Abu Jahl said to ‘Iyaash, ‘O my brother, by Allah, I feel the roughness of this came of mine [while I ride on it]; will you not then let me sit behind you on your [more comfortable] riding animal?’

‘Iyaash said, ‘Yes.’ They then both made their camels kneel down so that Abu Jahl could switch rides, and when they were all standing on the ground, Abu Jahl and Al Haarith attacked ‘Iyaash and tied him up. They then took him back to Makkah and tempted him away from his religion, and he succumbed [to their pressure tactics].”
_____

Indeed, in this particular story we can find a beautiful lesson, and a beautiful ayah to contemplate it from:

*“Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward.” [Qur’an 64:15]*

and this ayah too:

*“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.” [Qur’an 2:155]*
_____

*Our family is indeed at times a great test on us,*
As for ‘Iyaash it was his love for his mother that made him go back.

So before we say that For Allah, everything. Let us make sure that indeed we can justify that, because once we attest to that, it means this world is nothing anymore and everything that we yearn for is to be Allah, and to be able to have that virtue, we have to start with our salah.

If you can’t even be consistent and punctual with it, then how is it that we can say everything for Allah, when we cannot even give a little time for us to do what we are obliged to do for Him?

Ponder hard.
_____

And may Allah help us become among those people who will always choose akhirah over dunya, may He make us among those “few” people that He mentioned in the Qur’an and make not among those “most” that He mentioned.

He Walked Alone but Allah was with Him

*READING TIME..*
ARTICLE-23

*DURING THIS QUARANTINE TIME,*
*LETS STAY HOME AND BE SAFE AND DO SOME QUALITY READING TO INCREASE OUR KNOWLEDGE….*

*HE WALKED ALONE*
*BUT ALLAH WAS WITH HIM.*

This is the story of a man who will show you great strength of His trust with Allah and that true companionship comes from Allah as well.

This happened during the battle of Tabuk where the Muslims marched forth to fight against the Romans, and during this time, there was drought and many weak souls remained behind.

Most of those who remained behind were of the hypocrites who scoffed the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam and his Companions Radiyallahu Anhum for marching forth in the heat.

During this arduous march with the scorching heat above them, they noticed that Abu Dharr RA was not among them, and so one of Sahabah said “O Messenger of Allah, Abu Dharr has remained behind, his riding camel has slowed him down.”

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam said:

“Leave him for if he has goodness in him, Allah will make him catch up with you. And if he is otherwise, then Allah has disburdened you of him.”

Thus they continued to march without pause.

Meanwhile, Abu Dahrr RA was trying to prod his riding camel to move faster, but his attempts in vain. So he took his things, carried them on his back and followed the tracks of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam and his Sahabah RA.

When from a distance the Muslims saw the rising of dust, a sign that a man was approaching they said, “O Messenger of Allah, this indeed is a man who is walking all by himself on the road.”

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam said expectantly, “Be Abu Dharr!” When the man came nearer and the people were able to discern his features, they said, “By Allah, he is Abu Dharr, O Messenger of Allah!”

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam then said: “May Allah have mercy on Abu Dharr; he walks alone, he will die alone, and he will be resurrected alone.”
_____

This story teaches us that like Abu Dharr, even if we have faith in Allah, we will be tested in so many ways but it is only those who are the likes of Abu Dharr that could achieve such beautiful reward.

Indeed, like Abu Dharr, we also will and may have experienced the loss of beloved ones, or have our so called friends leaving us or even talking about us behind our backs, but even in seclusion and without companionship, Abu Dharr risen to follow the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam, and look how Allah Azza Wa Jall made him catch up and be with the companionship of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.

So if you come and think of it, we have to stay focused to our goal, ask yourself, if you were in same situation like of that of Abu Dharr RA, being left and would have to walk alone, would you actually walk forward or just stay depressed and whine about how they left you or they hate you because they left you or would you be like Abu Dharr that is so determined to go on?
______

And we pray that Allah Azza Wa Jall enlightens our hearts to yearn for His Companionship along with the companionship of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam and His Companions on the day we return back to Him. May He make the day we finally meet Him the most beautiful day of ours.
