Surah An Nahl – Ayah 104

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 104_*

*_As for those who do not believe in the signs of Allah, Allah will not guide them, and theirs will be a painful punishment.(104)_*

The Ayah describes the ultimate consequence of not believing in the Ayat of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la.‼️ People who say that the Qur’an is man-made or an ancient fable are certainly far from Allah Azzawajal’s guidance and will not be able to find the path of truth.

The Qur’an, which is a guide for every human being, was abandoned deliberately by such disbelievers, so they went astray. Therefore, they easily fall into evil until their souls become dirty and covered by the stains of sin. Their life will be miserable without guidance in this world and will be tormented in the hereafter.

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that Imaan is the pre-requisite to receive guidance from Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la.‼️ A believer should always seek Hidayah constantly through Dua and strive to remain upon the straight path by following the injunctions of the Qur’an and following the Seerah. These disbelievers chose error and abandoned right guidance”. That is, they chose error and misguidance, so right guidance was held back from them. They are themselves responsible for their fate.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la guide us upon straight path and save us from getting misled and going astray. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah An Nahl – Ayah 103

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 103_*

*_We know full well that they say: It is but a man who teaches him. But the one to whom they point speaks a foreign tongue, whereas this is eloquent Arabic speech.(103)_*

The Ayah describes one more false propaganda of the disbelievers against the Prophet SAWS and the Noble Qur’an.‼️ The polytheists of Makkah accused the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alahi wa Sallam of receiving Qur’an lessons from someone. _According to them, the person was a foreign man, not an Arab, who always taught old testament and religious books to him._ *About who the stranger is, there is no consensus on a particular person.* Various narrations explain it and give different names. Among them there are those who say that the foreigner is a Christian Roman slave, who was cared for by Bani Hadrami. However, from the various stories, none of them can be used as a reference.

Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la answers all these fabrications with a simple, clear statement that ends all argument: _“The man to whom they so maliciously allude speaks a foreign tongue, while this is Arabic speech, pure and clear.”_

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that these type of false propaganda and evil plots will continue to exists, therefore it has been advised to recite Audhu Billah before starting to recite the Qur’an to keep away from all whisperings.‼️ *These disbelievers were fully aware of the merits of the Qur’ān and its literary excellence.* How could they claim that a man speaking a foreign tongue could have taught it to Muĥammad SAWS. If such a man could have produced such a masterpiece, why would he not claim it for himself, without teaching it to another?

The Ayah reminds us to

1. To recognise the questions and statements of people who oppose Islam and it must be accompanied by providing appropriate and suitable answers to them with reference to Qur’an and Seerah.

2. We must be aware of the impact of the enemies’ widespread propaganda so that there will be no problems in our faith and our belief in the Quran. We must try to eliminate any confusion with logical and correct answers.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la strengthen our Imaan and grant us the ability to understand and learn the Qur’an. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah An Nahl – Ayah 102

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 102_*

*_Say: The Pure Spirit has brought it [the Qur’an] down from your Lord in truth, to make firm those who believe, and as guidance and glad tidings for the Muslims.(102)_*

The Ayah beautifully states the truth of the revelation of the Qur’ān and defends the Noble Prophet SAWS against the accusations of the disbelievers.‼️ Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la says to convey it those idolators by revealing _O Muhammad, it is not I who causes the abrogation. The whole thing is a revelation brought down by heavenly beings, by the command of Allah Azzawajal. I have no power to reveal or abrogate._ Those beings who ponder over the reasons and the wisdom behind abrogation in early Islam are led to a better understanding of it and to a greater firmness in it. The Qur’an was revealed gradually to the Messenger SAWS to strengthen the faith of believers, to guide them in worshiping Allah SWT, and a source of guidance in finding a happy life in this world and the hereafter.

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that *Roohul Q’uds’ (holy spirit)* is the title of Archangel Jibril(AS) (Gabriel), who is the chief of the angels and who used to bring Allah Azzawajal’s revelations to Prophet Muhammad (Sallal Lahu Alaihi Wa Sallam).‼️ _Allah Azzawajal uses the title Holy Spirit instead of name Jibril(AS), this is to warn the disbelievers that the Holy Spirit who brought revelation is free from human frailties. He is neither dishonest that he should add something to or take away something from the message he brought, nor is he a liar and forger that he should invent and state something in the name of Allah Azzawajal. Nor does he suffer from any human lust that he should practice a deceit. He is wholly pure and holy and conveys the Word of Allah Azzawajal intact._

This Ayah reminds us:

1. To trust Quran’s divine origin and it’s authority.
2. To recognise Jibril’s(AS) role.
3. To seek guidance from the Qur’an.
4. To strengthen our Imaan.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability to ponder and reflect upon the purity of the Qur’an and seek guidance from it. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah An Nahl – Ayah 101

*_Today’s Thought for the day comes from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 101_*

*_”And when We substitute a Verse – in place of a Verse – and Allah is most knowing of what He sent down – they say, “You are an inventor.” Nay, most of them do not know.”(101)_*

The Ayah describes the weak minds of the idolators and their lack of faith and conviction to the revelation.‼️ *The Qur’an has been sent down by man’s Creator for his guidance and instruction.* Therefore, wisdom demanded that the group of its believers which would be formed in the early stages should receive timely guidance and instructions according to circumstances through this book, so that the objectives of Qur’an may also become clear and timely guidance may provide firmness to the faith of the faithful and strengthen their conviction in action. *In view of this great necessity the revelation of Qur’an was made in stages, gradually, and in this the difference of outline and detail occurred, which is quite natural. Allah Azzawajal abrogated a Ayah in the Qur’an with another one during this initial period of reformation of the earliest society of muslims*. _The replacement was intended for the benefit of mankind, because only Allah Azzawajal knows which law is more appropriate for a time for a people_. For centuries human societies lived a certain kind of life: the most beastly kind. Their situation could only be changed gradually. That required allowing certain things in the early stages of change and development, to be disallowed later. Later generations would not need the same measures because, the individuals of later generations would open their eyes, or enter as new Muslims, into an already transformed society, in which they would not need to struggle against the rest of the world to follow Islam.
_The polytheists criticized the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) because according to them, the Prophet at one time ordered a matter, and at another time forbade it. They said that the Messenger liked to make things up. This attitude arose because they did not know the wisdom contained in the substitution of Ayat._

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that the abrogation of few Ayat that took place was for the benefit of mankind and are based upon the wisdom of Allahﷻ.‼️ *But for a person whose heart is closed by arrogance and hostility towards the Messenger SAWS, the abrogation ofan Ayah that supports and contains wisdom is used as a source of slander him*.

–_To understand and also explain to our non-Muslim men and women that live in our neighborhood and work place, that, *_”Allah Azzawajal’s Truth may come in stages, but it gives Strength, guidance, and glad tidings, and should Be held fast when once received.”_*

_Be not like those who get puffed up with pride In worldly good, and scorn the Truth. *”Enjoy the good things of life, but render Thanks, to Allah Azzawajal and obey HIS Law.”*_

_*”Be true in Faith, and proclaim HIS Word With gentle, patient wisdom; for Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la Is with those who live in self-restraint A pure, good, and righteous life.”*_

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability to understand HIS wisdom and save us from the whisperings of the Shaitan. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah An Nahl – Ayah 100

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 100_*

*_He has power only over those who take him as an ally and, under his influence, ascribe partners to Allah.(100)_*

The Ayah describes about the vulnerable group to fall into Shaitan’s influence.‼️ *The influence of shaitan will be only on those who choose themselves to follow wrong path i.e. those who have placed themselves at the mercy of their desires and have begun following devil.* _They allow the Shaitan to approach and befriend them. At first the shaitan only whispers and invites. But when people continue to follow the whispers of the devil, it will reach a point where they will continue to obey his commands. When that happens, then the devil has control over them._

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that the ultimate end result in following shaitan leads one to commit Shirk. ‼️ This happens when they start following the shaitan’s commands instead of Allah Azzawajal’s and take him as their Lord.

—To understand that Allah Azzawajal has not given the Shaitan the kind of power which would disarm any human being and compel him to become helpless and take to evil. So, should one opt for not using his capability of choice and control because of sheer carelessness or some selfish motive, then, this would be his own fault.❗ Therefore, it was said that people who have faith in Allah SWT and who, rather than trust their will power in their states and actions, place their ultimate trust in Allah Azzawajal for HE SWT is the One who gives us the ability to do everything good and also the One who shields us from everything evil. The Shaitan cannot possess and dictate such people. Of course, those who elect to befriend none but the Shaitan because of their selfish motives, particularly like things about him and go about associating others in the pristine divinity of Allah Azzawajal, then, the Shaitan is all over them, in possession, in control, and would not let them go towards anything good while, in every evil, they are right in front.

This Ayah reminds us:

1. To avoid Shaitan’s influence.
2. To reject polytheism.
3. To seek Allah Azzawajal’s protection.
4. To stick on to Tawhid (Oneness of Allah).

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la strengthen our Imaan and save us from the whisperings and control of the shaitan. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 99_*

*_Verily he has no power over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord,(99)_*

The Ayah describes the immunity of the true believers against the whisperings of the shaitan.‼️ This is the path which is chosen by those who follow their clean fitrah and submit themselves wholly to Allah Azzawajal’s will. This is path which is blessed by Allah Azzawajal and verily it is the straight path *_Sirat Al Mustaqeem_*. This is the only path by following which a true Slave will find Allah Azzawajal and there is no other path which leads a person to Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la.

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that those who appeal to Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la Alone and purge their hearts of any loyalty to any other bond are free of Satan’s power.‼️ *Much as he may whisper to them, their bond with Allah Azzawajal protects them from toeing his line.* _They may slip and commit errors, but they do not submit to Satan. They will always purge their hearts of Satan’s influence and turn to Allah Azzawajal in repentance._

–To understand
1.Satan’s limitations when the person has a strong Imaan
2. To trust Allah’s protection.
3. To strengthen our faith.
4. To recognize Satan’s weakness.
5. To seek refuge in Allah Azzawajal by constantly reciting *_Audhubillahi minashaitaan nirajeem._*

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la help us to remain upon the straight path and save us from the path of Shaitan and his whisperings. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah An Nahl – Ayah 98

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 98_*

*”So when you recite the Quran, seek refuge in Allah from Shaitaan, the accursed.”(98)*

*Human beings have two kinds of enemies.*
The *first ones* come from their own kind, like the general run of disbelievers. The *other kind* is that of the Jinn who are diabolic and disobedient. *Islam commands defence against the first kind of enemy through Jihad involving fighting and killing. But, for the other kind, the command is limited to the seeking of protection from Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la only.*

_This does not mean that one should merely repeat the Arabic words: *(I seek Allah’s refuge against the accursed Satan).*_

It means that one should have a sincere desire and do one’s utmost to guard against Satan’s evil suggestions when one is reciting the Holy Qur’an and should not allow wrong and irrelevant doubts and suspicions to enter one’s heart.
_*One should try to see everything contained in the Qur’an in its true light, and refrain from mixing it up with one’s self-invented theories or ideas foreign to the Qur’an so as to construe its meaning against the will of Allah.*_

_Moreover, one should feel that the most sinister and avowed design of Satan is that the reader should not obtain any gudiance from the Quran. This is why Satan tries his utmost to delude the reader and pervert him from getting guidance from it, and mislead him into wrong ways of thinking._

*_Act for the Day_* is: To understand that evil has no authority or influence on those who put their trust in Allah Azzawajal.‼️
It is good to express that trust in outward actions, and a formal expression of it-as in the formula, “I seek  Allah Azzawajal’s protection from evil” – helps us.
This verse reminds us:

1. To seek Allah Azzawajal’s protection before Quran recitation.
2. To recognise Satan’s evil influence.
3. To remain vigilant against doubts and mischief.
4. To humble ourselves before Allah Azzawajal’s word.

We are weak at best, and we should seek strength for our will in Allah Azzawajal’s help and protection. _*(Please read S16:97 to 100 in continuation)*_

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability to ponder and seek guidance from the Qur’an protect us from the evil influence of shaitaan. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah An Nahl – Ayah 97

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 97_*

*_”Whoever does righteous deeds, Man or Women, and has Faith, Verily, to him We shall give A good Life, and we Will surely pay them their reward According to the best of their actions”.(97)_*

This Ayah *lays down a general rule about action and reward:*‼️The *first item* in this rule is that the *two genders, male and female, are equal with regard to their actions and the reward* they receive for them. They *enjoy the same relationship with Allahﷻ and the same standing in HIS regard*. Hence, HE SWT rewards them equally, applying one measure to both of them.

Another aspect of this general rule is *that good action must have a strong foundation, which must be faith(Imaan)*. Without it, good action cannot be cemented into a well built structure. It remains haphazard, and it soon becomes like ashes blown in every direction by a strong wind. Faith provides the
*axis* around which all bonds turn._Faith, if sincere, means right conduct. When these two confirm each other, Allah’sﷻ Grace transforms our life. Instead of troubled and worried, we have peace and contentment._
_This Ayah removes the wrong notions of both the Muslims and the disbelievers who are of the opinion that those who adopt a just honest and pious attitude, are most surely losers in this world, though they might be gainers in the Hereafter. AIlahﷻ removes this misunderstanding, as if to say, “This presumption of yours is wrong. The righteous attitude not only leads to a happy life in the Hereafter, but it also guarantees, by Allah’sﷻ grace, a pure and happy life even in this world.”_

_The transformation is visible in this life itself, but the ‘reward’ in terms of the Hereafter will be far beyond our imagination._

*_Act for the Day is:_* _To Understand that; there are many things in life, other than money, which provide a goodly feeling and happiness.‼️ A strong bond with Allahﷻ and a feeling of trust in HIM and HIS abounding grace make life happy indeed. This is a fact: those people who are sincerely righteous, honest, pure and fair in their dealings, Enjoy a much better life in this world, for they enjoy that confidence and real honour and respect because of their spotless character, which is not enjoyed by those who lack these virtues._

_*”And We will reward such people (in the Hereafter) according to their best deeds,”* means that “Their rank in the Hereafter shall be determined according to their best deeds”. In other words, “If a person has done both small and great virtues,” he will be awarded that high rank which he would merit according to his greatest virtues._

_We shall strive for “Right Conduct” with Faith & Sincerity. Let’s Continuously seek Allah’sﷻ Help Even for Simplest Matter & ask for protection from shaitaan._

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant HIS help continuously and save us from going astray. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

*_Today’s Thought for the day comes from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 96_*

*_”Whatever is with you will be exhausted and whatever is with Allah (of good deeds) will remain. And surely We will pay those who are patient their reward, according to the best of what they used to do”.(96)_*

(Please refer S9:A121 also)

The Ayah directs us to contemplate the temporary worldly possessions against the eternal rewards from Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la for performance of good deeds.‼️ _There can be no comparison between spiritual good, which will endure forever, and any temporal advantage which we might snatch in this world, which will fade and vanish in no time. *Allah Azzawajal’s generosity is unbounded and limitless.* HE SWT rewards us, not according to our merits, but according to the very best of our Actions._

*_Act for the Day is:_* _To understand that Those who practise fortitude (courage and strength when’s facing pain or trouble) are the people who will always stand Firm in the struggle between right and truth on one side and greed and lust on the other._

_They bear every loss for the sake of righteousness and reject every gain that they might obtain by adopting unlawful means. They patiently wait for the rewards of their good deeds in the Hereafter._

This Ayah reminds us:

1. To prioritise eternal rewards.
2. To cultivate patience.
3. To focus on good deeds.
4. To trust Allah Azzawajal’s promise.

*_O’Allah! Give us that strength to Patiently persevere on the path that pleases You. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen_*

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah An-Nahl Ayah 95_*

*_”And do not exchange the covenant of Allah for a small price. Indeed, what is with Allah is best for you if you only knew.”(95)_*

_This ayah is referring to, “The Covenant(Faith) that people may make in the name of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la as a representative of HIS religion.”‼️_
_It does not mean that they should barter away Allah Azzawajal’s Covenant for some big gain. *What it implies is that any worldly gain howsoever great, is insignificant as compared with the worth of Allah Azzawajal’s Covenant*._

_Therefore, it will be a losing bargain to barter that away for any worldly gain, which is after all insignificant/negligible._

*_Act for the Day is:_* _Never to break our Covenant/Promises, for any gain.‼️_ *Let’s learn Prioritising faith over materialism by recognising Allah Azzawajal’s rewards as it surpasses these paltry wordly benefits.”*

_Let’s understand the *Value of the Law of Allah SWT* very clearly, that any possible gain that can be made by breaking the Covenants and thus *breaking Allah’s Law* must be necessarily be miserable, while our own benefit is far greater in *obeying Allah Azzawajal’s Will* and doing right._

This Ayah reminds us:

1. To prioritise spiritual growth.
2. To resist worldly temptations.
3. To trust Allah Azzawajal’s plan.
4. To seek eternal rewards.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la strengthen our Imaan and grant us the ability to remain firm upon Deen. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*
