English Translation of Al-Quran

[36].Surah Yaseen [Yaseen]

Ayat 23. “Shall I take besides Him âliha (gods), if the Most Beneficent (Allah) intends me any harm; their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me?

Ayat 24. “Then verily, I should be in plain error.

Tafseer of Surah Yaseen, Ayat 23 and 24. “Shall I take (other) gods besides Him? If ((Allah)) Most Gracious should intend some adversity for me, of no use whatever will be their intercession for me, nor can they deliver me. The next plea is for exclusive service to Allah. ‘Suppose it were proper to worship other gods-Mammon, Self, or imaginary deities set up as idols-yet of what benefit would that be? All power is in Allah. In His universal Plan, He may think fit to give me some sorrow or punishment: would these subordinate deities be able to help me or intercede for me with Him? Not at all. What use would they be? In fact I should obviously be going astray-wandering from the true Path.’ Ayat 24. “I would indeed, if I were to do so, be in manifest Error.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, “Eat Suhoor (predawn meal). Surely, there is a blessing in Suhoor.”

[Al-Bukhari Book 03, Chapter 31, Hadith # 146].

Lesson : This Hadith tells us that Suhur is Masnun (Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ (SAWW(PBUH)), even if one takes a small quantity of food. This meal is blessed and maintains one’s energy and vitality during Saum. Against this, if a person goes to sleep after taking his dinner to save himself from the inconvenience of getting up before dawn or takes Suhur early will be, on one side, disobeying the Messenger of Allah (SAWW)(PBUH) , while on the other side, he will be feeling hunger and thirst very early and very much as he himself has increased the period of fasting by not taking the Suhur. Subhan Allah! How the weaknesses of man have been taken into account in the teachings of Islam while suitable provision has been provided to overcome them!
