Surah Ibrahim – Ayah 22

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Ibrahim, Ayah 22_*

*_”And the Shaitaan will say when the matter has been decided, “Indeed, Allah had promised you a promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me, but blame yourselves. I cannot be your helper, nor can you be my helper. Indeed, I deny your association of me (with Allah) before. Indeed, for the wrongdoers is a painful punishment.”(22)_**

_After the judgement, Evil declares itself in its true colours.‼️ *Frankly it says; ‘I deceived you. The promise of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la was true, but you believed me rather than Allah Azzawajal.* ‘I had no power to force you.’ I had but to call you, and you came running towards me. You must blame yourselves. *Did you think I was equal with Allah Azzawajal?* I know too well that I was not and never could be.❗ *If you did wrong, you must suffer penalty’.*_

*_Act for the Day is:_* _To be extremely careful and aware of the enticing/deceiving ways of Shaitaan.‼️_

_That is, he will refuse the blame and say; “You cannot say and prove that it was I who forced you to follow the wrong way. You will yourselves admit that it is not so. I did no more than this, that I invited you to falsehood in opposition to the invitation to the Truth and tempted you to vice instead of virtue. *But I had no power to force you to the wrong way, if you desired to follow the Right Way, when you had the power and the option to follow either of the ways❗* Now I am ready to bear the burden of the wicked invitation extended to you, but you are not justified in any way to throw on me the burden of accepting my invitation, because you did it on your own responsibility. You should, therefore, yourselves bear all its consequences.”_

_*May Allah SWT protect us from the fitnah of Shaitaan, Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen.*_(Also read S14:23-27)

Surah Ibrahim – Ayah 21

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Ibrahim Ayah 21_*

*_They will all appear before Allah, then those who were weak will say to those who were arrogant: We were your followers; can you then protect us at all against Allah’s punishment? They will say: If Allah had guided us, we would have guided you. It makes no difference to us [now] whether we panic or show patience, for we have no escape.(21)_*

The Ayah describes the conversation between the blind followers and their misguided leaders on the Day of judgement where they stand helpless before Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la.‼️ *The people who were morally weak didn’t use their reasoning power and the free will given by Allah Azzawajal to find out the truth rather they shut their power of reasoning and followed those leaders who mislead them to such an extent making them think that what they were following was infact the right path.* _While those arrogant leaders group, committed fraud to the weak in this world and pretended to be gods. In the afterlife they are demanded by their followers to defend and protect them from Allah Azzawajal’s punishment, but they stand powerless, faced with the power and greatness of Allah SWT. Their satanic behaviour continues even on the Day of judgement by putting a blame on Allah Azzawajal for not guiding them, but HE SWT doesn’t command anyone to go astray,_ as HE SWT says: *_“Never does Allah enjoin what is indecent.” (7: 28)_*

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that we are exposed to Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la at all times both in this world and will realise this fact much better on the Day of judgement when we shall be presented before the Greatest of all Judges that we were fully exposed before HIM all along, so much so that every deed we did and each and everything we thought and desired is known to HIM.‼️The word *baruz بَرَزُوۡا* means to emerge and also implies to *become known.* That is why it has been translated into *“shall appear before Allah”*.

—To understand that this Ayah serves a warning to all those people who follow others blindly or obey and submit to tyrants because *they say: We are weak.❗Show of weakness is no virtue nor does it offer any excuse. It is a crime.* _Allah Azzawajal did not wish anyone to be weak. HE SWT invites the people to seek strength through HIM – and all might is HIS. HE SWT does not wish that someone should forego his share of strength and, instead, spend his life in servility of others._ The conscience as for the soul as for the intellect these, no one can rob these things of another, unless the owner himself wishes to relinquish them, in humiliation.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la continue to guide us upon the straight path and save us from getting mislead and going astray. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen_*

Surah Ibrahim – Ayah 19 & 20

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Ibrahim Ayat 19 & 20_*

*_Do you not see that Allah has created the heavens and the earth for a true purpose? If He so willed, He could destroy you and bring a new creation [in your place].(19)_*

*_And that is not difficult for Allah.(20)_*

Here comes a warning from Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la to the defiant disbelievers who kept on rejecting the call from Messengers Alahis salam to Tauheed.‼️ *The disbelievers are made to use the reasoning as how the heavens and the earth have been created and the conditions on earth have been favoured so that the life of mankind can be sustained as compared to other planets where the conditions are so unfavorable for existence of human life.* _This should make the disbelievers reflect upon and try to understand the might of the supreme power and the Creator Allah Azzawajal and turn to HIS worship._ *Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la has placed Man as his khalifah so that he implements HIS laws on the surface of earth.* If this very purpose is not served then Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la can replace such defiant creation with some other creation which will be obedient and will serve Allah Azzawajal as HE SWT wishes.

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand and reflect Allah Azzawajal’s Might in creating the circumstances favourable on the planet earth and HIS Mercy by choosing us to implement HIS laws.‼️ *However, if people deviate from Allah Azzawajal’s rules and regulations, then HE SWT will not allow them to commit injustice*. _For example we can imagine ourselves a bit change in the percentage of oxygen on this planet can make us die within seconds. It is not a difficult task rather it is very easy for the supreme power to destroy and bring in a new obedient creation._

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability to understand our purpose of creation and make us of HIS obedient slaves and earn HIS pleasure. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

*_”The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is that their deeds are like ashes on which the wind blows furiously on a stormy day. They have no control over anything that they have earned. That is the straying far.”(18)_*

_That is, “Those who were perfidious, faithless, and disobedient to the Divine Message, and refused to adopt that Way to which the Messengers invited, will find in the end that all the deeds and earnings of their lives were as worthless as a heap of ashes.‼️._

_Their dazzling culture, their grand civilization, their wonderful kingdoms and states, their magnificent universities, their sciences and their literatures, nay, even their hypocritical worship, and so-called virtuous deeds, their charitable and reformative works of which they were very proud in the worldly lift, shall prove to be as worthless as a heap of ashes, and will be scattered by the *”Storm”* of the *Day of Resurrection.* So much so that there shall not remain a single particle of their works worthy of being placed in the Divine scale on that Day in their favour._

*_Act for the Day is:_* to understand that *Actions in Islam carry value based on their intentions*❗. A small action done for the sake of Allah Azzawajal carries great reward and is huge in the eyes of Allah SWT, for HE SWT looks at the heart that does the action, not the action itself‼. *Action is a mechanical movement, but its motive is what differentiates man from machine❗*. What beautifies and magnifies actions is the *love for Allah* that lies behind them❗. The Noble Prophet (SAWS) has said; Make your heart sincere and a little of action will be sufficient for you.
*_Sincere intention is everything_.*‼ Let’s Work hard to purify our intentions so that our actions carry value. That is actually harder than the action itself

_First of all to be a believer in Lord of the Day of Judgement, by showing our Faith in the revelation. For revelation leads mankind from the depths of darkness into light. It comes to every age and nation in its own Language. So was it before; so it is Always._

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability perform our deeds with Ikhlas and gain HIS pleasure. Aameen Ya Rabbul Aa’lameen_*

Surah Ibrahim – Ayah 17

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Ibrahim Ayah 17_*
ا

*_He will sip it unwillingly, hardly able to swallow it. Death will come at him from all directions, yet he will not die. And ahead of him will be a harsh punishment.(17)_*

The Ayah describes the severe punishments of all types that will come towards the obstinate tyrant each one of which will be so severe that he will reach the point of death, but Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la has decreed that they will not die he must take his punishment in full. But beyond this is an even sterner punishment.‼️ Hell will be looming large behind him. There he is made to drink putrefied fluids. He is violently forced to gulp it down, although he can hardly take a sip because it is both dirty and bitter. His disgust is evident from the look on his face, so much so that we can almost see it through the words of the Qur’an.

The Prophet (SAWS) said in reference to Allah’s words, “He will take it in mouth-fulls and gulp it down,” that

“As he swallows it, it will cut his intestine into pieces that will emerge from his rear” (Ibn Jarir).

Another hadith further elaborates it. Transmitted by Abu Umamah, and preserved in Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Nasa`i and Hakim, who declared it as Sahih, it says,

“It (the drink) will be brought to him. (Initially) he will reject it. As it is brought closer, it will burn his face and the scalp will fall off. Finally, when he drinks it, it will cut his intestine to pieces until it passes out through his anus” (Alusi).

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand and imagine the severity of punishment meted out to the inhabitants and seek refuge from it by becoming obedient and following the commands of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la.‼️ If they suffered that punishment while in this world, they would have died a long time ago because of the severity of that punishment. And they really hope that death will come and take them because they can’t take it anymore. Imagine that while in this world they do not want to die but in the afterlife they wish they would just die. But they will never die because there is no more death in the afterlife. They can only get sick but they don’t die. Because if they die, then there is no more punishment, but God will continue to punish them. Then they will not be turned off so that they continue to receive punishment.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us relief and save a from punishment of the Qabr and Hell. Aameen ya Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah Ibrahim – Ayah 15 & 16

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Ibrahim Ayat 15 & 16_*

*_[The Messengers] sought victory and help [from Allah], and every obstinate tyrant met with frustration.(15)_*

*_Ahead of him is hell, and he will be given putrid water to drink.(16)_*

The Ayat describe the wretched end of the obstinate tyrant when the help from Supreme power of Allah Azzawajal takes its course.‼️ When the Messengers completed their task of delivering the message and those who defiantly persisted in disbelief became a separate group continuing their opposition to the fullest to the true faith. The word *“istaftahu” اسْتَفْتَحُوْا* means *to seek victory*. And the meaning that the majority of scholars have derived is, (having lost all hopes of acceptance) the Messengers sought judgment and victory over their unbelieving nations by praying to Allah Azzawajal. The word *Jabbar جَبَّارٍ* When used for a human being is for that haughty man who does not believe that anyone has any right on him. _Both parties pray for victory, and the result is as expected and ultimately the help of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la descends with the pious and the disbelievers are punished both in this world with a humiliating defeat and in the hereafter with a permanent life of hell._

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand and learn that the ultimate weapon of the believer is resorting to Dua and seeking help from Allah Azzawajal whose promise is true and will be fulfilled.‼️ *This is a remarkable scene showing every hardened despot ending up in failure in this life on earth.* As he takes his position of miserable failure, hell is looming large behind him. *The image of this horrifying punishment sends shivers down our spine.* _If man gives a serious thought, his heart would definitely melt and he would be anxious to seek out ways of saving himself from the punishment of the Hell._

— *It should be noted that the severity of the punishment is matched with the depravity of the crime.* Their beliefs were filthy, their deeds were filthy, and they used to eat and have filthy food and property. They deserved, therefore, to get as a punishment, a filthy thing like pus to drink.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us patience and perseverance in the path of Deen and save us and grant us victory over every arrogant tyrant. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen_*

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Ibrahim Ayah 14_*

*_And We will certainly cause you to dwell in the land after they are gone. This is for those who fear standing before Me [on the Day of Resurrection], and who heed My warning.(14)_*

Here comes a promise from Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la for those who have Taqwa and the fear of accountability on the Day of judgement.‼️ *This was to reassure the Prophets that they should not worry at all about the threat that the disbelievers would banish them from their country, as if to say: We will uproot them from their land, and establish you and your followers firmly in their place.* _Whenever the tyranny was at its maximum Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la asked the Messengers and the group of believers to vacate the land so that the guilty disbelievers are isolated and they are punished_. *This settlement in the land after the tyrants have gone is the good end that Allah Azzawajal granted to the Messengers and their followers.* .

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand the fact that What is to be feared is Allah Azzawajal’s position.‼️ *Therefore the promise of giving authority in the land applies only to those who have faith and piety, who only fear Allah Azzawajal and do not fear others.* _They take measures to avoid things which HE SWT has forbidden. They do not engage in corruption or wrongdoing against other people. Hence they deserve to be given their chance and be established on earth._

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability to be among HIS chosen slaves and make us eligible to receive HIS help. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah Ibrahim – Ayah 13

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Ibrahim Ayah 13_*

*_The disbelievers said to their Messengers: We will certainly drive you out of our land, unless you return to our religion. But their Lord revealed to them: Indeed We will certainly destroy the evildoers,(13)_*

The Ayah describes the ultimate rejection of faith by the disbelievers showing no hope of their return to faith and coupled with they resorting to threatening the Messengers with expulsion from their land.‼️ *When the Messengers continued their efforts of calling people to faith by putting Tawakkul in Allah Azzawajal the disbelievers threatened and at this point tyranny reveals its ill intentions.* _It does not argue, think or take a rational approach. It feels that it has no power to face up to faith, and that it will inevitably be defeated. Hence, it threatens the use of brute force, which is the only means to which tyranny can resort._ The disbelievers not only demanded from the messengers to stop calling on people to believe they further demand that they return to their ways of the forefathers and be fully integrated in their own society. They must not have their separate entity. But divine faith cannot accept this as it is contrary to its nature. Hence, the messengers reject this demand. It is not for a person who submits to Allah Azzawajal to accept the ways of jāhiliyyah. Hence when nothing was left but for the decree of Allah Azzawajal to be executed and for HIM to come to the aid of HIS close friends by assuring them of HIS help. _But their Lord revealed to them: Indeed We will certainly destroy the evildoers with all kinds of punishments._

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that expelling a Messenger of Allah Azzawajal from their land is a worst form of injustice.‼️ *Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la sent HIS slaves to inhabit the earth, and HE SWT commanded them to worship HIM, and HE SWT made the earth and everything on it to be of service to them in order to help them to worship HIM.* _So whoever uses that to help him worship Allah Azzawajal, using it is permissible for him and there is no blame on him. But whoever uses it to help him disbelieve and commit acts of disobedience, it cannot be exclusively for him and it is not permissible for him._ *Thus it is known that in reality the enemies of the Messengers have no right to the land from which they threatened to expel the Messengers.* These unaware and arrogant people perhaps considered all of the lands as their own lands and they did not have any regards for their prophets, even they did not consider them as a compatriot. This is how disbelief takes a step further and resorts to tyranny.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us the ability to bear with patience and grant HIS help against all sorts of tyrannical forces. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah Ibrahim – Ayah 12

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Ibrahim Ayah 12_*

*_Why should we not put our trust in Allah when He has guided us in our paths? We will surely be patient and steadfast in bearing whatever harm you cause us. And in Allah let all that trust put their trust.(12)_*

The Ayah describes how the messengers confronted tyranny and rejection with an attitude based on faith, remaining steadfast in the face of adversity and abuse.‼️ *They show their firmness by posing a question as why they shouldn’t put their trust in Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la when he has guided them to chose the right path.* _This is a statement by one who is certain of his attitude and the way he follows. He entertains no doubts about the support he has, and believes that Allah Azzawajal who guides to the straight path will undoubtedly give them HIS support. While the disbelieving people only depend on the power of humans who are powerless against the will of Allah Azzawajal. *Tawakal does not mean having to be alone and stay away from society, but rather means being firm in facing various difficulties and various disturbances.* _The Messengers will continue to be patient and steadfast in bearing whatever harm the disbelievers cause them and they will persist in calling them and admonishing them and reminding them , and they will not worry about whatever harm the disbelievers may cause them as they seek their reward from Allah Azzawajal._

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand that putting one’s trust in Allah Azzawajal is obligatory, and that it is one of the requirements of faith and one of the major acts of worship that Allah SWT loves and is pleased with, because all other acts of worship are connected to it.‼️ _The Messengers trust in Allah Azzawajal is for the noblest and most sublime of aims, for they put their trust in HIM to establish and support HIS religion, guide HIS slaves and save them from misguidance. This is the most perfect kind of trust in Allah Azzawajal._

–To understand that _”One of the characteristics of true trust is not fearing anyone except Allah SWT and this is the secret of faith.”_ *Tawakkul* signifies *employing a lawyer or an advocate’*. Such a person must have *four attributes:* perspicacity, honesty in keeping other’s deposits, power, and affection.❗ *No one but Allah SWT possesses all these attributes fully.* Thus we must trust HIM and continue to be on straight path and keep calling everyone onto the straight path.

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la strengthen our Imaan and grant his support in fulfilling our responsibilities as a Da’ee. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*

Surah Ibrahim – Ayah 11

*_Today’s Thought for the day is from Surah Ibrahim Ayah 11_*

*_Their Messengers said to them: Indeed we are but human beings like yourselves, but Allah bestows His favour upon whomever He wills of His slaves. It is not within our power to bring you any proof except by Allah’s leave. And in Allah let the believers put their trust.(11)_*

The disbelievers put up a objection and another is a demand when they were invited by the Messengers.

1) You are a man like all of us.
2) Perform the miracle which we propose for us.

*Replying to them the Messengers did not deny their human status.* On the contrary they confirmed it, but they draw their attention to the favours Allah Azzawajal gives when HE SWT chooses human messengers and gives them what they need in order to be fully equipped to discharge their great duty.‼️ *The office of prophethood is not such as a man would attain it by his efforts, but that it is a gift and grace from Allah Azzawajal, which HE may grant to anybody HE may like.*

_As for producing clear proof, which means a miracle or some supernatural event, the messengers make it clear to their communities that this is something determined by Allah Azzawajal alone._ This cannot be achieved, for we reserve the right not to perform any miracles without Allah Azzawajal’s permission.
Finally the Messengers declared this permanent truth of having tawakkal in Allah Azzawajal against all threats and resistance to the work of Dawah by making it clear that a believer does not place his trust in anyone other than Allah Azzawajal. He turns to no one else for help or support, and he seeks refuge with none other than HIM.

*_Act of the Day is:_* to understand and thank Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la for choosing mankind and honouring by the choice of one of its number to undertake this great task of receiving a message from on high.‼️ *It is also a special favour granted to mankind, so that they can come out of darkness into the light.* _Their faculties of reception and understanding are reawakened so as to resume an active life after a long state of stagnation._

–The Messengers try to make people realize very clearly *the difference between Godhead and their own mortal beings.* _They want them to understand the true significance of the oneness of God who is unlike anyone else in nature and attributes._❗ *The lack of such clarity was the source of the great confusion into which pagan beliefs had sunk, as well as the church concepts which mixed Christianity with the pagan beliefs of Greece, Rome, Egypt and India.* The starting point in this confusion into which Christianity had sunk was the attribution of supernatural powers to Prophet Jesus(AS) himself, leading to a great mix-up between the Divine Being and HIS servant, Jesus (peace be upon him).

*_May Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la grant us clarity of the religion and save us from falling into Bidah and shirk. Aa’meen Ya’Rabbul Aa’lameen._*
