Surah Al Mumin Ayat 69 to 72 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (24 Oct, 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 69. See you not those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah? How are they turning away (from the truth, i.e. Islamic Monotheism to the falsehood of polytheism)?

Ayat 70. Those who deny the Book (this Qur’an), and that with which Allah sent Our Messengers (i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone sincerely, and to reject all false deities and to confess resurrection after the death for recompense) they will come to know (when they will be cast into the Fire of Hell).

Ayat 71. When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along.

Ayat 72. In the boiling water, then they will be burned in the Fire.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 69 to 72. Seest thou not those that dispute concerning the Signs of Allah. How are they turned away (from Reality)? Those who dispute about the Signs of Allah which are clear to all who care to see, are merely in the mists of Unreality: Cf. 10:32. Ayat 70. Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent our messengers: but soon shall they know, “The Book” may refer to the Holy Qur’an or to the fundamental Revelation, the “Mother of the Book” (13:39 ), while the Books revealed to the messengers are the definite Revelations that came down to men from time to time. Ayat 71. When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along. The rejection of Allah’s Message, however brought, carries its own penalty. The yoke of spiritual slavery to Sin and Evil is fastened more and more firmly round the rejecter’s neck, because there is no one to safeguard his freedom, and the chains of superstitions and the ugly consequences of evil restrict his freedom and the limited faculty of choice which was given by Allah to man. This process receives its climax at the Hour of Judgment. Ayat 72. In the boiling fetid fluid; then in the Fire shall they be burned; The sinner gets dragged further and further in the disgusting consequences of his evil actions, until the fire of destruction closes in upon him.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah ﷺ  [SAWW](PBUH) said, “When the Children of Israel became sinful, their learned men prohibited them but they would not turn back. Yet, the learned men associated with them and ate and drank with them. So, they were cursed at the tongues of Dawud and `Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), because they were disobedient and were given to transgression.” At this stage Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) who was reclining on a pillow sat up and said, “No, By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, there is no escape for you but you persuade them to act justly.”

[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 3047 & 3048].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 70. Those who deny the Book (this Qur’an), and that with which Allah sent Our Messengers” This Hadith tells us that the duty of `Ulama’ is to check the people from vice and if, in spite of all their efforts people do not abandon them, they should avoid associating with them because it is a matter of religious reverence and vanity. If they do not do it, they will also be cursed like the disobedient lot. May Allah save us from this negligence.

Surah Al Mumin Ayat 68 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (23 Oct 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 68. Allah it is Who gives life and causes death. And when He decides upon a thing, He says to it only: “Be!” and it is.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 68. It is He Who gives Life and Death; and when He decides upon an affair, He says to it, “Be”, and it is. The keys of life and death are in Allah’s hands. But He is not dependent on time or place or instruments or materials. All that He has to do is to say “Be”, and it comes into existence. Cf. 16:40, and 36:82. Conversely, His Will or Command is sufficient to annihilate Existence into Non-Existence (Life into Death) or determine the limits or conditions of Existence or Non-Existence.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Ubadah bin As-Samit (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: We swore allegiance to Messenger of Allah ﷺ SAWW (PBUH) to hear and obey; in time of difficulty and in prosperity, in hardship and in ease, to endure being discriminated against and not to dispute about rule with those in power, except in case of evident infidelity regarding which there is a proof from Allah. We swore allegiance to Messenger of Allah ﷺ SAWW (PBUH) to say what was right wherever we were, and not to fear from anyone’s reproached.

[Muslim Volume 020, Book 08, Hadith # 4541].

Lesson: It has been emphasized in this Hadith that even if a Muslim ruler is sinful and cruel, one should not disobey him unless he orders to go against the Divine injunctions. In that case, such rulers should not be obeyed. Similarly, it is not permissible to revolt against them until they commit clear-cut infidelity because there is a greater danger of loss in revolt and rebellion. It should be noted once and for all that the expressions of truth and compliance with religious injunctions have top priority on all occasions. This should be done regardless of what people say on this account..

Surah Al Mumin Ayat 67 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (22 Oct, 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 67. Allah, it is Who has created you (Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah [mixed semen drops of male and female discharge (i.e. Adam’s offspring)] then from a clot (a piece of coagulated blood), then brings you forth as children, then (makes you grow) to reach the age of full strength, and afterwards to be old (men and women), though some among you die before, and that you reach an appointed term, in order that you may understand.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 67. It is He Who has created you from dust then from a sperm-drop, then from a leech-like clot; then does he get you out (into the light) as a child: then lets you (grow and) reach your age of full strength; then lets you become old, thought of you there are some who die before; – and lets you reach a Term appointed; in order that ye may learn wisdom. Cf. This passage is 22:5. The various stages of man’s physical life are: (!) first, simple matter (dust); (2) the sperm-drop in the father; (3) the fertilized ovum in the mother’s womb; (4) out into the light, as a human child; (5) youth and full maturity; (6) decay; and (7) death. In some cases the late stages are curtailed or cut off; but in any case, a Term appointed is reached, so that the higher purpose of Allah’s Will and Plan may be fulfilled in each given case, that man “may learn wisdom”

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH), the truthful and the receiver of the truth informed us, saying, “The creation of you (humans) is gathered in the form of semen in the womb of your mother for forty days, then it becomes a clinging thing in similar (period), then it becomes a lump of flesh like that, then Allah sends an angel who breathes the life into it; and (the angel) is commanded to record four things about it: Its provision, its term of life (in this world), its conduct; and whether it will be happy or miserable. By the One besides Whom there is no true god! Verily, one of you would perform the actions of the dwellers of Jannah until there is only one cubit between him and it (Jannah), when what is foreordained would come to pass and he would perform the actions of the inmates of Hell until he enters it. And one of you would perform the actions of the inmates of Hell, until there is only one cubit between him and Hell. Then he would perform the acts of the dwellers of Jannah until he would enter it.”

[Muslim Book 33, Chapter 01, Hadith # 6930].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 67. Allah, it is Who has created you (Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah” “This Hadith deals with the problem of fate in which Faith is essential. What it means is that Almighty Allah already knows about every person, whether he will be pious or impious, whether he will go to Jannah or Hell. He has already recorded all this. But it does not mean that man is absolutely helpless and is deprived of will and power, as is believed by some deviant sects who have gone astray. Fate is in fact a manifestation of the Knowledge of Allah and it has nothing to do with the will and intention of a person. Allah has not created man as a helpless creature, but has endowed him with the freedom of will and action, because in the absence of these two qualities, there would be no justification for his trial. He could only be put to test if he was granted not only the ability to choose between good and evil but also the freedom to act. For this purpose, Almighty Allah has clearly indicated to man both the paths and granted him freedom to choose whichever he likes. He has also told him the ultimate end of each. The Noble Qur’an says: “Verily, We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful”. {76}Surah Al-Insan [Man]: Ayat 3) “Then whosoever wills, let him believe; and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve”. {18} Surah Al-Kahf [The Cave] : Ayat 29). But by mentioning this Hadith in the chapter relating to the fear of Allah, Imam An-Nawawi has warned that we should be fearful of Allah, pray for His Help, and an auspicious end of our life. He has advised us to adopt whatever means are available to us. In other words, we should make Faith and piety a way of life because one can find the means and resources according to one’s capacity. Since nobody knows the result of his endeavors, one should leave it to Allah and rest assured that He Who has created him with a purpose will also create the ways and means to attain it. He who adopts piety, the ways to piety will open for him; and he who adopts evil, the ways to evil will open for him. A Muslim should never go towards evil at any stage of his life, lest his life comes to an end suddenly and he is deprived of the reward of all the good deeds he has done during his life and consequently he is consigned to Hell rather than Jannah. May Allah save us from a bad end and such actions which lead one to Hell.

Surah Al-Zumar Ayat 47 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (14 Aug 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[39].Surah Al-Zumar [The Groups]

Ayat 47. And those who did wrong (the polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), if they had all that is in earth and therewith as much again, they verily, would offer it to ransom themselves therewith on the Day of Resurrection from the evil torment, and there will become apparent to them from Allah, what they had not been reckoning.

Tafseer of Surah Al Zumar Ayat 47. Even if the wrong-doers had all that there is on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom from the pain of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment: but something will confront them from Allah, which they could never have counted upon! Cf. 13:18. Those who reject Allah’s Message must realize that the time will come when they will wish they had sacrificed everything in the cause of Truth and Righteousness. It will be too late then. Why not examine the matter seriously now and accept Allah’s Grace and Light? This something will be beyond anything they can conceive of in this life. Just as the righteous will then attain a bliss which no human imagination can conceive of now, so the unrighteous will be in a misery of which they can form no conception now..

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, Hazrat Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, “Among the inmates of Hell, a person who had led the most luxurious life in this world will be brought up on the Day of Resurrection and dipped in the Fire and will be asked: `O son of Adam! Did you ever experience any comfort? Did you happen to get any luxury?’ He will reply: `By Allah, no, my Rubb.’ And then one of the people of Jannah who had experienced extreme misery in the life of this world will be dipped in Jannah. Then he will be asked: `O son of Adam! Did you ever experience any misery? Have you ever encountered difficulty?’ He will say: “By Allah, not my Rubb, I neither experienced misery nor passed through hardship”.

[Muslim Book 39, Chapter 11, Hadith # 6738].

Lesson: This Hadith also induces one to work for the life of the Hereafter, as the amenities of this world which one strives hard to attain, and for which one violates the injunctions of Shari`ah, will be forgotten with a glimpse of the Hell-fire. Therefore, the sensible course is that one should adopt a way of life which is full of true faith and good deeds so that one becomes eligible for the eternal blessings and joys of the life of the Hereafter.

Surah Al Mumin Ayat 66 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (21 Oct, 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 66. Say (O Muhammad ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH): “I have been forbidden to worship those whom you worship besides Allah, since there have come to me evidences from my Lord, and I am commanded to submit (in Islam) to the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 66. Prophet SAWW was asked to tell pagans “I have been forbidden to invoke those whom ye invoke besides Allah, – seeing that the Clear Signs have come to me from my Lord; and I have been commanded to bow (in Islam) to the Lord of the Worlds.” All objects of worship besides Allah are mere delusions. To anyone who sees this clearly, through Allah’s Self-revelations, the only possible course is to give up everything else, which his own inner experience as well as outer Revelation tell him is false or of a temporary nature, and to bring his own will and actions into complete unison with Allah’s Will: for that is the meaning of Islam, bowing to the Will of Allah. When we bow to the Real and Everlasting, we are automatically saved from falling victims to the False and Evanescent.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, “My parable and that of yours is like a man who kindled a fire. When it was illuminated all around him, the moths and grasshoppers began to fall therein. He tried to push them away, but they overcame him and jumped into it. I am catching hold of your waists ties (to save you) from fire, but you slip away from my hands”.

[Muslim Book 030, Chapter 06, Hadith # 5672].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 66. “I have been forbidden to worship those whom you worship besides Allah,” This Hadith mentions the extreme kindness which the Prophet  [SAWW](PBUH) had for the welfare of his followers. It also mentions the misfortune of those who would become the fuel of Hell for not accepting Islam in spite of the utmost affection and ardor of the Prophet (PBUH) to bring them in the fold of Islam. People who fail to accept Islam would fall in the Hell-fire in the same way moths fall in the fire..

Surah Al Mumin Ayat 65 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (20 Oct, 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 65. He is the Ever Living, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), so invoke Him making your worship pure for Him Alone (by worshipping Him Alone, and none else, and by doing righteous deeds sincerely for Allah’s sake only, and not to show off, and not to set up rivals with Him in worship). All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 65. He is the Living (One): There is no god but He: Call upon Him, giving Him sincere devotion. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! The real, self-subsisting Life is only in Him. Cf. 2:255, All other forms of life are but shadows compared to His perfect Light.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, “Keep away from the seven fatalities” It was asked: “What are they, O Messenger of Allah?” He   [SAWW](PBUH) replied, “Associating anything with Allah in worship (i.e., committing an act of Shirk), sorcery, killing of one whom Allah has declared inviolable without a just cause, devouring the property of an orphan, the eating of usury (Riba), fleeing from the battlefield and accusing chaste believing women, who never even think of anything touching their chastity.” [Al-Bukhari Book 04, Chapter 51, Hadith # 028]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 65.” so invoke Him making your worship pure for Him Alone” All the sins mentioned in the Hadith are major sins but Shirk is the greatest of all. The reason behind this is that it will never be pardoned, and one who commits it, will abide in Hell for all eternity. So far as the other major sins are concerned with Allah, He may forgive them if He so wills; otherwise, one who is guilty of such sins will have to suffer the torments of Hell. He will, however, be sent to Jannah after suffering the punishment if he is a Muslim.

Surah Al Mumin Ayat 64 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (19 Oct, 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 64. Allah, it is He Who has made for you the earth as a dwelling place and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape and made your shapes good (looking) and has provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord, then blessed be Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 64. It is Allah Who has made for you the earth as a resting place, and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape and made your shapes beautiful,- and has provided for you Sustenance, of things pure and good;- such is Allah your Lord. So Glory to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds! The argument in the last two verses was from man’s personal experience of his physical life. In this and the next verse a parallel argument is addressed to man on a much higher plane: ‘look at the spacious earth and the canopy of the sky; look at the special position you occupy above other animals that you know, in shape and form, and moral and spiritual capacities; consider your refinements in food and fruits and the higher spiritual Sustenance of which your physical food is a type; would you not indeed say that the Lord is good, and would you not glorify His Holy Name?’ A resting place. I understand this to imply a temporary place of rest or sojourn, a period of probation, to be followed by the eternal Home. Cf. 7:11. The shape and form refer to the physical form as well as to the inborn moral and spiritual capacities of man. As regards moral and spiritual capacities, they are typified by the breathing of Allah’s spirit into man: 15:29 (see also 64:3). “Sustenance” all that is necessary for growth and development, physical, moral, and spiritual (16:73).

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ[SAWW](PBUH) saying, “If a person mentions the Name of Allah upon entering his house or eating, Satan says, addressing his followers: `You will find no where to spend the night and no dinner.’ But if he enters without mentioning the Name of Allah, Satan says (to his followers); `You have found (a place) to spend the night in, and if he does not mention the Name of Allah at the time of eating, Satan says: `You have found (a place) to spend the night in as well as food.”’

[Muslim Book 23, Chapter 11, Hadith # 5006]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 64. “And has provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord” Herein, we are told that in order to ward off Satan and his followers, we are supposed to remember Allah before entering our house and before beginning to eat. The remembrance of Allah implies those appropriate prayers of the Prophet ﷺ [SAWW] (PBUH) which have been mentioned in Hadith. For example, we are instructed to pronounce the Name of Allah before beginning to eat. On entering our house, we recite the following Prophetic prayer: “Allahumma inni as’aluka khairal-mawliji wa khairal-makhraji. Bismillahi wa lajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa `al-Allahi rabbina tawakkalna.” (O Allah! I ask you what is good for entrance and what is good for exit. With the Name of Allah do we enter, and with the Name of Allah do we leave, and upon our Rubb Allah have we put our trust).

Surah Al Mumin Ayat 61 to 63 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (18 Oct, 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 61. Allah, it is He Who has made the night for you that you may rest therein and the day for you to see. Truly, Allah is full of Bounty to mankind, yet most of mankind give no thanks.

Ayat 62. That is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), where then you are turning away (from Allah, by worshipping others instead of Him)!

Ayat 63. Thus, were turned away those who used to deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 61. It is Allah Who has made the Night for you, that ye may rest therein, and the days as that which helps (you) to see. Verily Allah is full of Grace and Bounty to men: yet most men give no thanks. The succession of Day and Night in our physical life is frequently appealed to, as a symbol to draw our attention to the Mercy and Bounty of Allah. If we view these things correctly, we should serve Allah and seek Light from Him and Rest from Him, and celebrate His praises with gratitude. Ayat 62. Such is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, there is no god but He: Then how ye are deluded away from the Truth! If we worship false gods, i.e., go after vanities, what is it that deludes us and leads us astray? What could it be but our rank ingratitude and failure to use the understanding which Allah has given us? Ayat 63. Thus, are deluded those who are n’t to reject the Signs of Allah. If men are deluded by Falsehoods, it is because they reject Revelation and refuse to learn from the Signs of Allah all around them.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) led the Fajr prayer at Al-Hudaibiyah after a rainfall during the night. At the conclusion of prayer, he turned towards the people and said, “Do you know what your Rubb has said?” They replied: “Allah and His Messenger know better.” Upon this he remarked, “He has said: `Some of My slaves have entered the morning as My believers and some as unbelievers. He who said: We have had a rainfall due to the Grace and Mercy of Allah, believes in Me and disbelieves in the stars; and he who said: We have had a rainfall due to the rising of such and such star, disbelieves in Me and affirms his faith in the stars.”’

[Al-Bukhari Book 01, Chapter 12, Hadith # 807].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 62. “Where then you are turning away (from Allah, by worshipping others instead of Him)” (1). Since Allah is the Real Creator and Maker of all things and events, these should without any exception be attributed to Him Alone. If a reference is made to the cause or causes which occasion an incident or event, it is permissible but to ascribe them entirely to some factor or factors is the conduct of polytheists and amounts to Shirk and Kufr. (2). People of the Period of Ignorance used to ascribe the rain which occurred at the appearance or setting of some star, to that star and would thus accept it as the real cause of it. In this Hadith, such ascription has been regarded as Kufr and Shirk.

Surah Al Mumin Ayat 60 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (17 Oct, 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 60. And your Lord said: “Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islamic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!”

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 60. And your Lord says: “Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell – in humiliation!” As this life is not the end of all things, and we are to have its fulfillment in the Hereafter, we have only to pray to the Lord of the Present and the Hereafter, and He will hear us, forgive us, guide us, and make our Path smooth. But Pride will have its fall-and its humiliating Punishment. Cf. 37:18.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) used to say when he was in distress: “La ilaha illallahul-Azimul-Halim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbul-`Arshil-`Azim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawati, WA Rabbul-ardi, WA Rabbul-`Arshil-Karim. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Incomparably Great, the Compassionate. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the Mighty Throne. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the heavens, the Rubb of the earth, and the Rubb of the Honorable Throne).”

[Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 75, Hadith # 357]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 60. And your Lord said: “Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation)” The only medicine in a time of distress is the remembrance of Allah Whose Help alone should be sought. This Dua contains words which glorify Allah and exalt Him far above all else. It is desirable to recite these words when one is in distress as this is exactly what the Prophet (PBUH) used to recite in such situations.

Surah Al Mumin Ayat 58 & 59 Daily Qur’an & Hadith (16 Oct, 2024)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]

Ayat 58. And not equal are the blind and those who see, nor are (equal) those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous good deeds, and those who do evil. Little do you remember!

Ayat 59. Verily, the Hour (Day of Judgment) is surely coming, therein is no doubt, yet most men believe not.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 58. Not equal are the blind and those who (clearly) nor are (equal) those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and those who do evil. Little do ye learn by admonition! The man of Faith who backs his faith by righteous conduct is like the man of clear vision, who sees things in their true perspective and walks with firm steps in the Way of Allah. The man who does evil is like a blind man: the Light of Allah is all around him, but the man has made himself blind, and he can see nothing. He has rejected Faith and cannot even learn by other people’s admonition. Ayat 59. The Hour will certainly come: Therein is no doubt: Yet most men believe not. “The Hour” is the crown and consummation of man’s life on this earth—the gateway to the Hereafter.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Ibn Masood (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, “Truth leads to piety and piety leads to Jannah. A man persists in speaking the truth till he is enrolled with Allah as a truthful. Falsehood leads to vice and vice leads to the Fire (Hell), and a person persists in telling lies until he is enrolled as a liar”.’

[Muslim Book 32, Chapter 26, Hadith # 6306].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 58. And not equal are the blind and those who see, nor are (equal) those who believe” Siddiq (veracious) and Kadhdhab (liar) both are adjectives of intensive degree. That is to say, the words stand respectively for someone whose truth has become his second nature; and in the opposite case, one is a liar who is in the habit of telling lies. As one acquires a reputation in this world for his good or bad deeds similar is his position before Allah. One who is ranked among the truthful with Him is entitled to reward, and if one is a liar, he has to suffer retribution for it. This Hadith provides incentive for truthfulness because it is a source of every good deed and contains a warning against lying as it gives rise to all kinds of mischief.
